It's more of a Remote play advert than a Vita advert from the looks of it.

As for the pre order thing, 3DS is looking almost as bad, it's down to 8 products and 4 of them are the upcoming Pokemon games + accompanying 2DS hardware bundles.

No Vita games in December. 1 Vita game in January.
1 3DS game in December (Disney movie game), none in January

2 handheld physical releases in 2 months? Handheld gaming in the West is pretty much done.

Yeah we are really down to the odd Vita localisation here and there and the odd Nintendo release for 3DS here and there with their focus now seemingly on WiiU.

They already did a Vita holiday commerical with PSN as a key piece.

Edit: This is in a series they've been doing with this kid. Locker Room, with girl, and I think there was one more but I can't find it.

Albeit weird, these are actually better ads than that with the teasing woman doctor (hot tho) because they actually present the Vita as an games console instead of a fappin alternative remote play device.

It's amazing what you can find with a bit of digging on the internet.  This game, which I think I've posted about before (Blastr) is coming to Vita - it seems Portal-esque in story but it has some combat too:

I'm kinda hopeful that Unity will plug a hole in support in its final years of life and bring some decent-qualty 3D stuff to the console in future.  I mean, I love the Japanese support we've been getting, but I wouldn't mind another racing game here or a 3D shooter there.  The indie support has been a bit 2D-platformer-heavy for me really, with some gems like Hotline Miami or Guacamelee here and there.

The developers have had some weird priorities, in my opinion.  For those who don't know them - they worked on loads of shovelware for PS2 and even a bit of PSP (Spinout) and Wii (Build 'n' Race).  On Vita, they released Life of Pixel (PSM) and then that Pub Games thing (PSN).  

Even though I'm sure it would've been similarly shovelware-y... this game looked better than either of those.  And I'm sure you could find more racing game fans on Vita than pub games fans (Table Top Racing seems to have done well, for example).

Retro-inspired neon stuff just looks beautiful on Vita's screen.  Hotline Miami; TxK; Futuridium... I want more of it!

Well, I think that, after all, wa can agree that the reason of the poor selling  Vita and her games is the migration of "casual consumers" from handhelds to smartphones.

We can mock casuals for being ignorant, insensible to good gameplay and in love with silly games like Ruzzle, and yet they outnumber hard core gamers and anything in between by a 10:1 ratio at least... And for them, Nova, Gravity Rush, Uncharted and Freedom Wars mean very little, while quickness, cheap price, convenience of a twenty minute distraction are important, along with brand, coolness, trends...

Even Nintendo, with thirty years of experience and properties like Mario and Pokemon are feeling the punch.

As for Sony, their marketing errors (and there were a lot of them) perfected the disaster.

Sometimes casuals focus on a product they and the media decide it's cool (Wii, PSP, ...) and then, as the next product comes, they are gone somewhere else.

Its hard to argue with that hahaha xD
