XSEED Games, an independent-minded publisher, today announced that its upcoming action platformer, Sumioni: Demon Arts, for the PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system, has reached gold status and will launch exclusively as a digital download on the PlayStation®Network on March 20, at a price of $19.99.

Boasting 30 stages and multiple endings, Sumioni offers completionists plenty to look forward to, and online leaderboards and other DLC will be added to support the title post-launch.

Is it possible for any of you to convince me to buy the VITA? I kind of want it... but I'm still not sure... there are other things I woUld like to bUy.

I am not going to try and convince you, but instead I am going to, in reponse to you, post what I was just came onto VGChartz to post before I get back to the game I was playing. So whether anyone chooses to believe this or not, this is my 100% honest thoughts at this moment in time, so take as you wish.

--------------------------------------------------

Oh my fucking god, I absolutely love these analog sticks. I do not lie when I say they are an absolute wonder. Everytime I sit here and pump hours a night into YS 7 (Yes, a PSP, I know...) I just can't believe that a handheld feels so much like my good ol' dualshock controller. These things, not to mention this handheld, is an absolute work of engineering art. I sometimes like to just sit there and rotate the sticks. I really love what they did with this handheld.

Just finished the Fire Shrine in YS 7 and think this game is wonderful, kind of surprised I missed it on the PSP, but I am glad I did because these sticks are just a wonder to use, especially compared to the PSP nub which I honestly hated, it was so uncomfortable.

This handheld is truly wonderful and if it ends up flopping I won't care because I know plenty of games are already on the way and they will no doubt reach my hands before the (Oh god I hope it don't happen) thing goes the way of the Dodo. I will blame the gamers though if this indeed happens to be the case because mind you this, I don't give a rat's fucking ass what anyone on this site or any other says, the Vita is bar none the best option you will find for gaming on the go. Other ones can claim to have specific franchises, but believe me when I say that those games would definitely benefit if the console they were on was made in the same way this one is. For the first time in a while I REALLY feel like it was money well spent. I expect this handheld to get great word of mouth.

It doesn't matter what kind of argument they bring up, this handheld is so well made, so damn comfortable in your hands and makes even the oldest of games worth playing again and all because of those sticks. Now, not meant to be a knock, but the circle pads just do not compare. The PSP nub REALLY doesn't compare. I don't own a 3DS, but I play with it everytime I hit up Target because I do like the handheld and intend to get one some day, but really, it just can't compare. The range of motion on these things is stupendous. Circle pad slides around. These sticks move just like a Dualshock analog, XBox360 analog, Classic Controller Analog or Nunchuck analog. It truly is NEARLY PERFECT if you want my honest opinion. Only thing I would want is to have them just a bit higher, but that would risk them breaking. Oh well, i'll just get analog covers and they will no doubt raise them enough.

A lot to read? Yeah, but does it really matter? How often do I go out of my way to really shine something in such a positive light around this place? Not to mention I didn't even mention the screen (Which really does these games real justice) or any other aspect of the system. To me it is all about those analog sticks, lol.

Can't wait to finish up YS 7 and try Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky... yeah, I haven't played that either, lol.

I am in for a treat I bet. Heard nothing but praise for the game.

do you have 250  bucks to spare?  do you love portable gaming?  do you like a wide variety of game types and feel the 3DS is good but just not enough on its own?  do you want to be a part of a community on VGchartz that takes care of its own (Initiation is simple, buy a system and share your PSN name with us, once that happens you're in the VitaMob)?

It's a great system, but I'm not going to pretend it's for everyone.  if you lean more towards nintendo stuff, it may not be for you (modnation is a slightly lower quality mariokart, etc), but the exclusives are proving to be worth having in your collection (uncharted, Lumines, Wipeout, many DLC titles) and the console quality ports (Rayman, Blazblue, etc) are definitely worth your time.

I do tend to lean more towards Nintendo, of course. But, I do like all the RPG's that seem to come to the Sony systems. Are there any good ones out or coming out for the PSVita?

Didn't see this before I posted, but did you own a PSP? If not then you already have plenty of top notch ones on the PSN Store to start with and the fact the Vita is so comfortable to hold and play with makes these long games that require plenty of time worth the playthroughs.

I am confidently say that right now I think I am able to wait until June for Gravity Rush because of the JRPGs available to me now that I missed on the PSP.

Well Said! People can try to downplay the significance of them but the sheer quality of the analog sticks and the Dpad are absolutely amazing....I can't wait to try out 3rd person games on this..gonna play Unit 13 demo tonight or tomorrow.

Haven't really played any games with the D-Pad yet (Although sometimes needed it to navigate some menus until I designated the right analog to replace the D-Pad controls), but man do I love rotating my finger around it just to hear that clicking sound.

It feels fantastic too. This thing REALLY is made with gamers in mind, no doubt about it.

It is almost a crime to shit talk the thing or wish doom upon it. It is made to give us top notch experiences in handheld form and easily out performs anything else if you take franchises out of the equation.

I actually didn't care much for the Unit 13 demo, the look and aim controls seemed loose to me. (you go from barely turning to doing a 180 with just a slight push).

Looks like a decent game, though.

Yeah been playing UMvC3 a lot and the Dpad works magnificantly! I will be buying a LOT of fighters for this system

@PSGamer: Dunno about MNR Vita but I can recommend UMvC3 to you wholeheartedly since I'm playing it now..it looks soooo goood. The bgs don't animate but that's about it...everything else is second to none compared to home console versions. Even the onle matches are smooth

and with that...I have reached 10,000 Posts on VGC!

well ask yourself this:  how important is online play?  if it's important, get MArvel vs Capcom.
