Well you say that, but a lot of people don't like using credit cards, and PSN has no presence at retail so people don't even know most of the games available digitally even exist. There must clearly be a market for digital games being purchased at retail and just putting the code in. Whether it's because it lets people without cards buy them, parents scared of their payment details being used online etc or just because they seem to shift pretty well, otherwise they wouldn't be extending the range (they already sell 360/PS3/Wii U games as download vouchers).
