PlayStation Vita launch title Uncharted: Golden Abyss has claimed top spot in the new UK all-format charts.

Another Vita exclusive, FIFA Football, scored second. It's worth noting that sales company Chart-Track does not count digital sales, meaning the games achieved their chart places based on boxed copies alone.

Freaking awesome! Also, seems like Rayman Origins got that bump (36 to 5) because of Vita, however it wasn't listed on their page as a Vita title. Same for Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom.

Uncharted and FIFA were heavily bundled with the Vita so it's no surprise they're top, combined with them being the 'biggest' games. Great news for the Vita though, although I think getting no.1 in the UK charts was the bare minimum so I don't wanna get carried away. Still, the influx of Vita software as a whole is promising and definitely points to good sales.

Infact I just looked at how the 3DS software did in it's launch week and it had SFIV at 6, Pilotwings at 8 and virtually nothing else in 2 days of sales. Even less games the week after. So although Vita had an extra day, it has absolutely tons more software there. So with that in mind, taking 3 of the top 4 is very very impressive imo.

Putting off buying my Vita for a few weeks now. Wanted it to play on various train and coach journeys I've got ahead of me for PHD interviews, but sort of realised if I want get all my research done (Researching cosmological inflation) as well as be ready for my various PHD interviews I'd have to dedicate the travelling time to reading :(. May buy it next week depending on how it all goes!

Sounds like a propper platinum then, not just a simple walk in the park. On the other hand, if it is easier than most platimuns, maybe this will give trophy feever to some that don't have it yet. This can also be a good move.

Nice!!! Gravity Daze is selling very well on PSN according to the ratings, also the numbers keep growing at a nice pace. Some faith restored at japanese gamers lol.

lol indeed! I think the game will do really really well in the West and will hopefully prompt Sony to get a sequel going

It's not the best thing, but you can get somehat of an idea of how many downloads Vita games have by the ratings on the PSN, since you need to buy the game before you can rate it. Like I said, though, it's not final digital sales since not everyone who buys a game will rate it.

I think 1/10 peoples that buy on PSn rate games.. may be even less... So up to 30000 sells more for Gravity.. that make it almost 100k with retail sells...

It's a minimum, though, which means it sold at least 3,000 digitally. I don't think I have ever rated a game I have bought on PSN, despite buying something in the vicinity of 60-70 games, so let's assume that 1/10 of the people rate the games they buy. It could be even higher than that (or lower), so either way I still think that is impressive.

I honestly don't remember the last time a psp game charted in the UK. In the NPD report (US) the last time a psp game had good sales in a month was God Of War: Chains of Olympus, which is really sad.

Anyway! Here's hoping for a bright future for psv! Please don't kill it pirates!

The real issue with piracy on the PSP was the ease with which it could be done. I mean a battery? Seriously.

And while I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the PSV is hacked, if they learned anything it will be difficult and inconvenient enough so as to discourage all but the tiny minority who want to pirate games simply because it's taboo.

The other reason why PSP games rarely ever charted is because the major releases that should have charted were so far and few in-between, which was undoubtedly influenced the amount of piracy on the platform.

We'll see what happens with the PSV.
