It could just be me, but in addition to not being able to transfer PSOne games from PS3 to PSV, none of my PSP games saved on the PS3 are showing up in the PSV's data management utility either. The only way I can see to get them onto the PSV memory card is by re-downloading them from your PSN Store download list (waste of bandwidth/time, but whatever works). The PSV will let you know which titles can be downloaded to its memory (not all PSP games can).

I sort of figured a way of being able to play it on the Vita. But it isn't the best solution! You just do the remote play with the PS3! So you have to have the PS3 on but can play it over wifi and use the saved games etc. Have to say even though it is technically streaming it does make it look pretty cool!
Let's just hope Sony allow us to play these games soon. But knowing them they are thinking of ways to bullshit to us saying it won't work and we need to buy a Vita version or something...

I found the fix to the problem that will be quite useful to anyone with a bunch of PSN Store PSP games to include many that are listed as "cannot be downloaded to PS Vita."
You have to download your PSP game(s) again from your PSN Store download list on the PS3. Second, and this is important; do not install the PSP game. Just leave the installer file in the XMB games menu untouched.
Now when you go to the Media Manager in the PS Vita, those uninstalled games will show up in the transfer from PS3 to PS Vita menu. The only game I've run into so far that doesn't is Mod Nation Racers.
Valkyria Chronicles II transferred and plays normally on the PS Vita even though it can't be directly downloaded to the PS Vita through the PSN Store. It's odd, but I'll take it.
Sega Genesis Collection is another title that can't be directly downloaded to the PS Vita, but will transfer using the same steps.
