Vita is dead and buried in the US. Less than 100k in December

See SCEA, treat it like shit...it will sell like shit. Congratulations

But... but... we have indies!!!!!!!!!  People love indies more than AAA gamez!!!!!

Half of their studios are US based, Vita didn't appeared their E3 2013 conference, Bend Studio is working on PS4... I hope Jack Tretton burns in hell.

The problem with the Vita is the lack of killer apps, we really need AC, COD, God of War and Gran Turismo.

I agree with MUGEN, and is what i have been saying a lot.. SCEA IS SH*T! Is the sh*ttiest Filial from SONy when it comes to PSVita... they have been ignoring the console, like waiting it die... some other errors they made when PS3 before and after PSN Shutdown...

Recently I can enumerate some regarding to Vita:

-Release uncharted Golden abyss to PSV two months after Uncharted 3 in PS3... WHAT THE HELL?! uncharted fans were playing U3 online MP and most ignored this title that could have been great some months later AT A BETTER PRICE!! 50$ for a handheld game didn't help the already labelled as overpriced handheld.

-They Rushed the development of Resistance Burning Skies, with a little more of time to develop nihilistic could have made a great and more decent representative of FPS Genre on vita... Burning skies was a good game with poor technical features as graphics and a BAD REPLY VALUE, with a little more time could have been the reference of the console until KZ released this year...

-they made the same with COD and this time with less time! The game sold decently with the name that titled it.. but could have been more greater sales...

-Announces spin-off Killzone mercenaries for Vita and agoust release some days later announces PS4 with KZ Shadow fall (a main story game) for two months later... JUST DUMB MOVE!

-No bundles for cristmas with little big Planet on 2012 nor with tearaway on 2013... THEY ARE STUPID!

-No other color for the console! After limited bundled White vita sold out... they have been ignoring other colors for Vita oled model... this isnot gonna make the console sale like hotdogs.. but come on! this help a lot.. specially bundled with a new game to promote a new color!

-Take TOO MUCH DAMN TIME with the pricecut on hardware and memories!.. Like in Japan, Soul Sacrifice and some other games could have been take chance from it.. like DOA5+ and Muramasa...

-PSO2, I know this is a SEGA game, but stiill they should have take the work of translate and promote this game outside of japan...

-AND THE WORST: Since launch on west... almost NOTHING from western SONY studios! We can't live on indies and imports for ever!

Well, on others thoughs.. i think I'm in love with tecmo-koei.. they have been suporting vita with a lot (no exclusive, but well..) of games... rigth now they and XSEED (I believe they wll announce Senran Kagura SV after 3DS's release) are my favorite vita developers/publishers...

PS+ games are complete bullsh$%& compared to EU.

Toukiden demo on Tuesday ! Nice!!

Toukiden is one of the hunting games that I'm not sure about. I don't like Monster Hunter and Toukiden gets compared to it a lot. A demo will definitely help me decide ^^

I cant wait to try Toukiden!!!!!!! If I dont suck much at it I'll consider buying it.

It's a PC indie game ( the one that Jonathan reviewed) I'll get back to you on which game is was as he has a couple and not sure which one he reviewed. I had nothing to do with my brothers games, but we're flatting together now and have been tossing up weither we should make a game together. I want to make a JRPG sytle game but they're alot of work.

Didnt know about the Toukiden demo, cant wait to try it out!

So I was looking on game rankings, and saw that a 3DS title I was always interested in, Mutant Mudds, which came out on Vita in the US late last year, had a meta rating of 55%. Given that this is a "darling" of the 3DS E-Store, you'd think such a massively low meta was down to a shit port.

However, it's pretty much identical to the PS3 and Wii U ports boating more content than the 3DS version.

Mutant Mudds Deluxe Meta ratings on Game Rakings were:

PS3 - 80%
Wii U - 84.29%
Vita - 55%

This actually perfectly highlight why "meta ratings" particularly on Vita can't be preached like they are being to state "no gaemz!" especially as the sole review for the Vita version states this...

"Basically, it all comes down to this: there's no shortage of controller-throwingly difficult platformers on the Vita and the PS3, and a large number of them are better than this one is. Go for one of those ones instead, because this one just isn't worth your time."

So does that mean that there are a large number of far better games on Vita, than one of the best games on 3DS, where it's the 30th highest ranked title, and was the 9th best 3DS release of 2012...

Yeah I know how flawed this whole meta thing is and reviews are subjective, but given how all the meta scores get preached as hall marks of quality, I found it really interesting that one of 3DS's highest acclaimed titles, is marked as a poor example of the genre when reviewed on Vita.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Toukiden demo is a smart move. I'll try it out, at least, even though I'm not a fan of the genre at all. If the demo's good, then at least I'll be more interested in a purchase.

Also, for anyone interested, Amazing Spider-Man is back up on the EU store.

But why such a low meta? Is the game broken or something? Or are there very few reviews?

Cause there may be some merit that Vita/handheld games get usually lower score than their console counterparts but not of a 30 points difference.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

Vita titles get shafted for no reason.  3DS titles on the other hand... (I'm looking at your RE: Revelations)
