The only way they'd get GTA on Vita now is if Sony funded the entire development of it.

Energy Hook was not what I was expecting. I was expecting it to be a 2D side scroller or something hahah.

I don't think they'll put enemies in, tbh given that it's meant to be a "world sport" I don't think there'll be any enemies etc in it. It does look like it's going to be a combination of checkpoint races, stunts and hidden secrets though. I'll certainly be keeping an eye on it. Definitely feeling the JSR vibe which is only a good thing :D

Psp had a similar install base then to psv when gta has coming on it.

The install base was 6 millions.

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

May be a bit short for me but if there is enough to grind I'll probably have plenty of fun.

Maybe, but that was in the systems first 7 months in the US and before it's first Western Christmas period. Not nearly 2 years later.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

The sooner they release a GTA, the better chances Vita will have to finally pick up steam and allow them to earn some extra money re-using old assets. I hope Sony is cooperating with them to launch a massive Vita offensive with Infamous, GR2, GTA, another AC, CoD and a couple other big time games coming in a short period of time. They have to do something like that, a last true offensive to win the West, but they need to get 3rd parties on board.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

Okay everyone, I did my part.

Just went to Gamestop and traded in Killzone Shadowfall. Can't believe I got $42.50 for it!

With that store credit + a $10 rewards coupon I bought Tearaway and Ys: Memories of Celceta.

Total cost to me? $8.16.

... plus whatever you paid for Killzone ;)

But good choice. I'm going to get  celceta eventually, hopefully through plus. But first I'm going to get me the PSP games. Thanks to this wonderful article

http://www.destructoid.com/the-ys-buyers-guide-266590.phtml

Bought Killzone with a $50 gift card Bestbuy sent me. So for Killzone it cost me $15 out of pocket. Then I got $42.50 back on it today, then I spent $8.16 after buying Ys & Tearaway.

If you want to get technical it costed me a total of ~$23 total to have Killzone for 1 month (Beat it too) and get Tearaway and Ys. Still an excellent deal for me.

Wouldn't be worth it.  Ever since the USA became apathetic towards PSP in 2009-ish it became kinda clear that Sony handhelds wouldn't have a place over there.

The amount of money Sony would have to spend moneyhatting GTA; AC & CoD (and make no mistakes about it, at this point in the game they'd have to pay for the development of those games) probably wouldn't even return enough back from the extra sales they'd gain.  Yes, absolutely no doubt those games would help, but 3DS isn't exactly blowing the roof off despite a $99 console with Pokemon and Zelda; so Vita would have no chance.

And Sony have made it abundantly clear that any money they do have for developing/moneyhatting is going towards PS4.

It can survive as a handheld FIFA machine in Europe and an Otaku machine in Japan.  My only hope is that mild successes in those two markets convince Sony & third parties to keep pumping out games for the console for another few years (and that the Japanese games keep getting localized).

That's not to say I wouldn't like a handheld GTA, though.  Vice City Stories is one of my favourite PSP games.

Thinking about getting a Vita game soon. But there are so many options, ys, soul sacrifice, tearaway, uncharted, legends, etc.

Why do people keep saying the Vita has no games?

It's a trend, why change it?

I will just be glad if Vita gets Japanese support. If it keeps getting some JRPGs I won't mind what happens to it since it will also be able to remote play any PS4 JRPGs I get as well.

In case you didn't catch on, I like to play JRPGs on handhelds while using headphones.

I know, right?
my budget cant handle it.

but if you get ps+ you can scratch uncharted and sould sacrifice off that list.
