Miku is a vocaloid with a rhythm music game based on her. If you actually care to know just look at Hatsune Miku wikipedia

So, can someone resume me the quality of the Persona serie ? Everyone keep talking about it and I never tested one in my life. From far away, it looks correct for this type of game, so what it's quality ? Is there a similar western game I can compare it to ?

I think you have all understand that I'm not an anime fan at all, but I still like some of them. For example School Rumble is one of my all time favorite. Does Persona games looks a little like it (since it's at school and all).

What's so good about those games ?

I really, REALLY liked Dragon Quest VIII. Does Persona games can keep up the comparison in terms of quality ?

Since we have a very similar taste in games (it was proven a couple times already, like when you told me Sound Shapes suck, other people said it's cool, reviews are very good, I bought it and... it sucks xD ), you can trust my opinion about it.

Persona is awesome, I have never played anything quite like it. I have mainly played Persona 3 FES, not Persona 4 (wanted to finish the 3rd one before I move to the next one, but never managed to finish it, cause I find it harder and harder to sit down to my PS2 ), but the games are quite similar (P3 is a bit darker, since they "shoot" themselves in the head, people turn into coffins, etc.). They have wonderful, catchy music, likeable characters and a good, original story. The gameplay is divided into two parts. During the day you are a school kid, you attend classes, study, write tests (you have to give the answers!), talk to other students, walk around the city, play games, do sports, eat, build relationships with your friends, rest, etc. Just a typical Japanese school simulator. During night you explore dungeons and fight enemies. The battle system is very similar to FF X (turn based, you can attack by yourself or summon a Persona, which is a huge monster like Aeons in FF X). What you do in the day part influences how well you do in the night part, as your decisions may improve the strenght of your Personas, so the two worlds are connected. There is also a crafting element, cause you can fuse your Personas to get stronger ones.

To sum up... it's really awesome. It's not batshit crazy like some Japanese games, it's totally acceptable and understandable for a Western gamer. I recommend the games without a doubt. Personally I'm very sad that in Europe we have just one Persona 2 on PSN and that there is no P3 FES on PSN, but most importantly - I want P3G on Vita!!

Who should we twitterbomb to get P3G?

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

I was going to reply to him, but it was kind of hard to think of a good way to describe the series and find other games similar to it. Good Job

Ok mate, I will give it a try. I will have it for free from Sony, so don't worry. Even if I find it crap, I'll not blame you about the money I lost ^^

And yeah, Soundshape sucks. It looks good and all, but from a playful point of view, it's a fraud. And it doesn't look good enough to make up for the 0 game play. Journey has 0 gameplay but it looks really impressive.

Before even looking at wiki for Hatsune Miku i'd to look what a damned vocaloid is.

After having improved my allround education i know 2 things.I've  Already seen Hatsune Miku and:Godzillas Country is a real strange place as i can't imagine how Persona Style&atmosphere could fit with Miku to make it look homegen. It's a little bit contradicting like a kirby/silent hill crossover. But on the other side -i've only play persona4.

Try harder, cause you ain't talking to the wall.
I just ain't BLIND and being a fanboy, they screwed PS Vita fans, end of story Lol.
Some may enjoy the game, hell I may, but it's screwing the Vita fans.
A casual fan can't tell a hardcore fan they're wrong lol, cause that makes sense. You have a super barrier on negative for the Vita lmao.
Being too positive will kill it, not help it

While I do agree that Vita fans were screwed over, I do not agree with things you think that screwed us over (if that makes sense?).

I think that Persona 5 and Persona 4 U, should also be available on Vita. If Falcom can do LoH for both system at same time, I kinda expect that Atlus can to. But from financial perspective I guess it makes more sense to them to evetually re-release Persona 5 on Vita, since people have showed by now that they double, even triple dip for Persona games. Persona 4 Arena and now Persona 4 U simply should be on Vita. Why aren't they? I guess because BlazBlue didn't sell that great.

On the matter of Persona Q and Persona 4D. I think that MUGEN explained everything perfectly. And I don't uderstand why you're hating on Miku game or elevating Etrian Odyssey type game above it, if former sells better in Japan... You know the market both of those titles cater to.

I think I get what your first sentence says.
the points all make sense.
But see you are running into the same thing.
I have NOT elevated EO and hating on Miku lol. What have I been stating from the start?
Why I say they screwed Vita is cause you give 2 systems RPG's FOR a RPG series and you give Vita a dancing game.
I never hated on dancing games or Miku. My point from the start, MUGEN tried use Miku as a reference as to how popular the games are, but that's Miku who really gets the sales, not the genre. PQ I did not elevate once, my points stands, it's a RPG. PQ can end up being more enjoyable for all I care. But in the end, that looks soo bad on Vita.
Now P4A, I'm at a loss as to why it isn't on Vita. But I didn't bother complain about that, if they bring it, that would be nice.
Also, I don't care what persona it was, as long as it was a Vita RPG. Like someone said, Persona 3 Enhanced Version. Basically with everything from both FES and P3P wouldn't be expensive, I'd love that lol.
Ohh yeah, trust me. Quite a while back on this thread. I came in here after talking to someone on the Persona team and I shared that they always do the games on 1 console to maximize potential. So I was hoping it was on Vita but knew P5 was likely PS3.
Ohh and though it's likely, P5 hasn't been out so the possibility of the Vita version is out of the question until after that. That assumption isn't really reasoning.
Ohh yeah

But in the end
*nods* fair enough, now that's reasoning. I can't be mad at that, I just think they screwed Vita by being the only 1 without a RPG announced coming.

I haven't played a DQ since PS2 and barely remember it. But Gameplay wise it's a bit different. Quality wise... hmm... Persona tbh isn't no top quality game, but what it does, is done closest to flawless as I can think.
Now if you love School Rumble like I do. You should like Persona 4, P3 might be too serious looking compared to P4 for you, that is if you don't like dark games (basing it of SR). It's kinda a toss in the air though imo. I love Persona, though I usually don't like the darker style to the earlier ones. I still thoroughly enjoy it all. If you like RPG's and a great story with twists etc. You should like Persona, if the comedy is a factor too. 4 is the best choice for you. Imo it's the most light hearted and joyful. I'd say give it a chance
Note: if you completely hate repetition. I don't know if you'll enjoy it, cause the whole game you are living your life in a City and quite limited to where you can go.
