That was actually very cool. Thanks for that :D This could be a really neat thing for housholds with kids too

@Nesfe: That's the same Samurai and Dragos that came to vita right? is this like an expanded version or something?

Yeah, nice little feature I wasn't expecting, Kinda makes your Vita feel more like a actual controller now too. Cause pretty much Most games allow Remote play.

I agree about Bend. For me, it's just the principle of it. Studios like Bend and Cambridge could build a name up for themselves as the highlights of Sony's handheld roster - much like Naughty Dog & SSM for the home consoles - if they were just given the time to stick on the console and make multiple games.

And they're both clearly at home on the console, having made titles for PSP throughout its life.

But it just feels like Yoshida is going into knee-jerk "WE DONT HAVE ENOUGH FOR PS4" mode and shoving everyone on that, which is a massive, massive shame. He's already shut down three studios who did a large amount of work on handhelds in the past two years; taking away pretty much the only two remaining studios who work on them outside of Japan just seems like a real shame.

Then again, I'm not sure they could justify keeping Bend/Cambridge open if the future of Vita AAA sales is how much Mercenary sold; which has been absolutely terrible so far. But then again, is anything they make for PS4 going to light the sales charts on fire? I'd have thought not, unless we're fobbing off establishing IP's onto them.

It was a shame to lose Ready at Dawn too. Though I understand their desire to move onto bigger experiences, it would've been nice if WWS could've contracted a replacement studio for them.

S2 of The Walking Dead being revealed October 29th 12PM PT

I believe we're getting this day-and-date with the other versions, right?

Pretty cool Velocity 2x interview.

Here's the thing, everyone knows Sony is in dire financial straits. No, it's not just because of the games division, Sony is a diverse company, and cheaper electronics brands from Korea and China/Taiwan have been pushing the company further and further into a corner.

Sony NEEDS the PlayStation 4 to be a big success. They can't afford to pull off another recovery on the level of PS3, which is sort of a 2 part reason why Vita has some lackluster support, at least in the West, where third parties are MUCH more overbearing over hardware makers as well. AAA publishers do whatever they want, and what they want are the projects they see will make them the most possible $$$ and score the executives the biggest possible bonus, not do fans a service or build goodwill with consumers and other companies.

There is no question the Vita's fate is tied to the PS4. If it succeeds, that brings in more resources, some of which can be put into more Vita content. If it fails, well, expect Sony's departure from the games industry as being on the table. That means 0 Vita games.

You know how all those PS4 promotions keep mentioning Vita as a companion device? It's more meaningful than you may think...

Agreed on both points. Also, I think they basically mandated all their studios to work on PS4 because they expected a much fierce competition on home consoles. Sony cannot afford to lose space on consoles market and, if they succeed, they will be able to fight for handheld space (but it could be well too late).

On a brighter note Japanese third parties love Vita.

Amagami Vita port incoming!

I recently exchange my psp witn some games for a vira. In my country games are very expensive so i was thinking on buying PS+ and play the free games from there. But my concern is that I only have 4 gb memory so i will be constrained to 2-3 games at the time. My question is free monthly games can be downloaded again if I delete them months after there arent aviable for free?

If you "purchase" the free game, it'll go to your download history. You can re-download any PS+ game again as long as you are still subscribed to PS+.
