Okay so I need assistance with two Vita titles. I'm in the mood for racers and I came down to two - namely NFS: Most Wanted and Sonic All- Stars Racing Transformed. I've warmed up to the former, but I am uncertain about the latter. I keep hearing mixed things about it with respect to quality (framerate and visuals). Have any of you tried it/them? What are your thoughts? Any other noteworthy racers on Vita you are aware of? Much thanks in advance.

I like Need of Speed but that's just me.

WipEout 2048.  Definitive Vita racer.  Best racing series ever.  Signature-worthy.  (But more seriously, WipEout 2048 is my favourite game on Vita, not only favourite Vita racing game.  It's got a great single-player campaign and then a fantastic online mode.  Plus, some of the most interesting tracks in series history.  Only thing it's missing - sadly - is Racebox)

I don't have Sonic, but Need for Speed is a solid game.  It looks like arse sometimes, but it's the full console version (minus DLC) on the go, and it runs at a pretty smooth framerate throughout.  Absolutely no complaints from me; and it's actually a game that suits being on Vita more than home consoles, imo.  Being able to pick it up and do a couple of races whenever you fancy and then just save and turn it off is great.  You can't really go wrong with it.

I think a couple of people in the thread have Sonic, so hopefully one of them can help you with that.  I'd be quite interested to hear impressions of it too!

NFS is quite an achivement on the vita. It's pretty much the ps3 version with some minor visual downgrades. You can't go wrong with that one, plus the retailers around me gave it a pricecut recently so you should be able to finde it for an nice price.

Don't know about sonic since i haven't played that one yet, but i've heared people say it's the game is quite good, though i did hear the thing about the framerates as well... 

Valhalla Knights 3 is September 24 here, so I agree that November is more likely. Wouldn't be smart of XSeed to step on their own toes like that.

Wait for GT to come to the Vita.

I own NFS, and I plan to get Sonic (there's always something that I want more). NFS is great, plays great and looks great. The only "bad" thing about the whole game is the detail of lights on car. It's very pixelated. 

I don't think that you can go wrong with either of those games. If you are after platinums, NFS is far more easier to platinum.

Need for Speed is the best game on Vita. Also has exclusive Vita events and links up with the PS3 version for points.

Sonic is also a game you can't go wrong with especially given it's budget price now.

WipeOut? It's the 3rd best racer on Vita behind these two. Everyone saying get Wipeout instead is just deluded, especially our Mod Kres ;p bloody fanboys!

Thanks for the tips everyone! Good advice! While I can get these games on PS3, I feel for racers on the Vita, so those will do. I'll definitely get NFS: MW and Wipeout, and I'll heavily consider Sonic for the Vita too (though I think I might just get this one for the PS3 if the framerate issues are bad). If anybody has experience with it let me know. And thanks again for all the advice guys!
