Nothing new as far as I know. But I think it means that these sales would include their PSP back catalog (MONSTER HUNTER) and digital copies on PSN, making 50k not all that impressive.

Given PC had new releases from Capcom and 3DS also includes the full DS back catalogue still proportionally seems surprisingly good to me.

Yup...Looks someone has to be the bad guy.
Based on my experience with previous Vanillaware games, that review sounds about right. Odins Sphere and Muramasa always seemed a bit over-rated to me, though I am looking forward to trying the Vita port of Muramasa.
For those who don't want to hear such things...

I wouldn't say it's all bad, really. It's not even the lowest score out there, since The Escapist gave it a 6.0.
And reading the review, it sounds like he was just disappointed it was so short. The actual WORDS of the review seem pretty positive overall.
lol there was a psvita in a scene in the anime Hataraku-Maou-sama.
Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

Am I seriously the only one that thinks that putting Vitas in Animes like Oreimo and Maou and the rest only cements the stigma of it being a niche platform for Anime-ish games?

Given the coma it was in during 2012 in Japan, I think being a sustainable niche platform for anime-ish games for the rest of its life would be a pretty decent victory.

So basically better than nothing?

Pretty much. If the options are having a niche which it can sustain itself on selling 15k a week but a decent amount of software; or selling < 5k a week, the former seems like the better option.
