Ever since Ken left Sony has fallen apart as a gaming company.

What the hell is stopping them from doing the UMD passport in America? Jack Tretton.

SCEA is a terrible branch and I wish that the worst will happen to him. Again there is no fire and no passion. Vita is going to be in trouble. Through no fault of it's own. It's a fantastic device and there are fantastic games for the launch and shortly after launch, but once again this is Sony.

They will fuck it up somewhere. I don't know where, but it will happen and by damn are they trying.

I've already pre-ordered 4 games for the Vita, with 2 more potentially at launch and more that I want. Even assuming I don't care for Little Deviants as I didn't care for Pilotwings, that still leaves 5 games! Hella strong launch lineup, and there's more in the pipeline.

This generation is gonna be awesome for handhelds.

@Runa216 I've played most of the launch titles on 3DS as well as some titles before the price cut and really enjoyed them. The best launch games were Super Street Fighter 4: 3D Edition, Samurai Warriors: Chronicles, Pilotwings Resort, Ridge Racer 3D, and Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars. Other games I enjoyed were Dead or Alive Dimensions, Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D, and Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked. I still have Dead or Alive, Samurai Warriors, and Zelda. Overall, I have loved my 3DS when I got it and still love it today. I don't know, maybe it's just me.

And there are new IPs on Vita's Launch... 3DS hold, and like most Nintendo's consoles, on the Nostalgia of old players.. Just old ips repeteadly release again and again... there's NOTHING new... I didn´t grow playing Nintendo Consoles so i don't see anything on their consoels except for mario kart and Zelda.. and there's no Zelda on 3DS so I pass... ^^

Also, after playing the Vita I must say the load times in some games are terrible! Very disappointed by that, as this is a machine that will be used for a guick gaming-fix on the go.

Just needed to get some negative thoughts out there. I will still be getting the machine day one, but am not sure it will be a success. Really hope it will but... Yes the screen is nice, but it's not better than the best screens on smartphones, just larger than most. In a year or so screens and processing power on smartphones will exceed Vita I'm sure.

It's all about the games and control options though and hopefully the Vita will continue to shine in that area.

Don't get me wrong, I really love and support the Vita but there are problems we shouldn't ignore and it has an uphill battle from day one.


I haven't seen many comparisons, but Vita looked better than the iPhone4g in the one I did. Don't think it will matter when you compare a $40 Vita game to all the cheap $1 smartphone games.

UMD passport is a really minor issue, just play it on your PSP instead of re-buying it. Haven't heard anything about any PSN games being full price - do you have a link?

Long load times are my only concern.

Thanks - So just Uncharted so far, which is ridiculous because really thats the game that needs the discount most. Sony is getting desperate in finding ways to make money, and Uncharted is going to pay for it.

But on the image leaked some days ago it show Uncharted:GA disccounted at 45% on the Store.. May be some temporal error on the PSN until the release day next week?

well so many pepole have joined this thread since i dropped off the radar. it makes me happy to see how far this thread has come. it really bugs me when i go into media create or whatever thread and other users talk as if Vita failed or something. i've been in this thread since it started and knowing whats coming to Vita should melt the faces off of people but they prefure to be negative and i just don't have the time for it.

the Vita launch window is far beyond that of any console in history, but it's more so the inovation of the games and device. so many of us have worked so hard to keep the content and this thread going, and the work is rewarding. 

i grew up on Nintnedo consoles(PC first), but as you've said, they've shown nothing new for me to get interested in, so their consoles have nothing to offer me. i can't wait to get my hands on this console. the only game i won't get is any COD game that comes out, but eberything else is a buy.

A bit off topic but have you guys seen the new Mass Effect game for iOS? I would definitely love for EA to port this one to PSVITA, at least as a download. It's looking quite good.
