Ninja Gaiden's camera is a relic of the original Xbox (One? :D) version, it was semi "set". A lot of games were like that then though (Devil May Cry etc) because it meant they could control how much was going on at one time in the screen to make the graphics better.

I quite enjoyed the Vita port apart from 30fps, given that even the original release was 60fps.

My problem with the camera is that it gets stuck when I'm about to leave a room and I can't see where I'm going. Never really understood the difference between 60 and 30 fps, so that at least doesn't bother me.

Well-this 30 or 60 fps thing is a little bit strange.

On the one hand Several of my friends say it is important,on the other hand noone of them ever complained while watching movies in the cinema though those movies are shown with 24 fps on a huge screen.

On the other Hand you'll have to play fast games  or games with fast moving objects for some time, than you will see that there really is some difference but it is nothing that makes a game that much better.

60 or 30 fps dosen't matter as long as the game has stable frame rate

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

60fps means the game feels a lot more reactive to your input. Movies you don't control so it doesn't matter as long as the image is smooth.

Beat em ups NEED to be 60fps, games like Ninja Gaiden also greatly benefit from it as the combat flows alot better than manages your inputs a lot better for the combos.

Racing games is the other genre that greatly benefits from 60fps.

As must as people say it doesn't really matter, there is a reason most of the best selling games are 60fps. For Call of Duty it's the reason people prefer how it plays, even if they can't see it.

I can instantly tell you whether a game is 30fps or 60fps just by looking at it. It was the Dreamcast having 60fps games that did that. At first I couldn't understand why games like F355 and Daytona USA felt so much smoother and more responsive than Metropolis Street Racer. But it was purely down to the frame rate. You can still enjoy a 30fps, but it will always be a better experience at 60fps.

I'd take 60fps over resolution and visuals any day. 30fps is just playing your games in treacle in comparison.

I think it does not matter as long as you don't  play something on a higher level.

On a higher level even such a static thing like pinballl does matter.I've been chasing for some time all time high scores on pinball arcade(vita) and you'll have to play a lot and get really focused if you want to compete and at a certain point you really can see which pinballs run with a higher framerate and which not ;than the low framerate pinball tables  are really annoying. It is hard to get used to this.

I never had a chance to reach a top 10 high score with the low frame rate pinball tables but with some high frame rate pinball tables I was succesful because you can be more accurate with the input the more framerates you have within one second.

Right now i haven't played pinball for several month and i think i would not care about the pinball tables with lower framerate.I'd simply enjoy playing them.

I guess 60fps is 95% myth and 5% necessary and most gamers won't see the difference but it seems to be some kind of fashion for a lot of people who considers themselve coregamer to ask for 60fps.

I have yet to play a single Lego game :S on a different note I am thinking of getting Guacamelee!

oh and Shahid is saying the dumbest shit on twitter. I had a bit of an argument with him recently on there too

GET GUACAMELEE NOW! :D Vita's GOTY so far!

Just playing Thomas Was Alone...

"As the square, who had shyly introduced himself as "Chris" bounced atop of Laura, she began to worry that he was just using her like all the others had. They'd all bounced too, and then they'd disappeared when her back was turned"

How can such a simplistic looking game characterize squares and rectangles so amazingly!? Danny Wallace is a legend though! He is also a man! (you'll get that if you read Shortlist in the UK)

I got Batman for less than £10, so I think I'll wait a bit longer.

Also wanted to say that I was really excfited for Ninja Gaiden, but I'm seriously hating the game. The camera is horrendous (the graphics and fighting kinda make up for it though). Anyone else got it for free with ps+ and has similar issues?

I actually played through Sigma back when it first came out (Never played through Black or the previous ones).  Playing it again, I'll say it did not age well.  The entire game is very clunky and they give you too little options in the beginning combo wise.  I actually have no issue with the camera as I feel set cameras are best for action games.

Since it's a slow day, I'll put up some news, Aksys and NiSA are going to announce new localization titles at Anime Expo 2013. Apparently Aksys title is a wacky title ? i believe it's 2 hours from now^^.

In other news, remember Over my dead body 2(Ore no Shikabane wo Koete Yuke) game sequel that was announced and we haven't heard much about since. I read that last month the game went into full production, so maybe we'll see it at TGS 2013. B.E.L.I.E.V.E

I've been enjoying some of the speculation from GAF, including Danganronpa; Conception 2 & Demon Gaze.  Any of those would be fine with me.

Badgenome opted for Senran Kagura.

Do you know when their panel is? A lot of AX stuff has already come and gone.
