 Just get the PS3 version...

Ok, that does it, PS3 version is. I can't stand frame rate drops. Especially when we're talking about a port of a twelve year old game!

Plus, is seven dollars cheaper and I can download each game separately even if I buy the collection. I would have paid more to play a decent version on Vita, but Sony clearly doesn't care anymore, so I won't either.

Both PS3 and PSV versions are cross-buy (if you're getting the digital version).

No, they aren't. At least not in the American store.

Look at Vita version of the game. This is from Croatian store:

Cross-platform Features
• Cross-Buy – buy this product for PS3™ and get the PS Vita version at no additional cost. After purchasing, head to the PlayStation®Store “Download List” for your PS Vita and you’ll find this product ready to be downloaded.
• Alternatively, download this game to your PS Vita and you’ll be able to download The Jak and Daxter Trilogy for PS3™ at no additional cost.

There's gotta be something up their sleeve. They're being far too calm about it's current situation. So I'd like to think there's some truth in that interview!

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

So... been laying low for a while... again... a lot has happened to me in real life these past 5 weeks, just past the board exams and got inducted into the civil engineering profession thus officially earning my second engineering credential just a little over a month ago. Been having to monitor my wife's pregnancy for the past 5 weeks to ensure that her blood pressure doesn't shoot up and am expecting my second child this coming 26th of June (A girl this time wheeeee!!!)

And after all that I find myself extremely disappointed with the Vita these days. After Soul Sacrifice, which turned out better than I previously thought, there's nothing much to look forward to. Sure, there's Muramasa (probably), Ys, Valhala Knights 3 (unlikely but maybe), Dragon's Crown (1 word, boobies), aaaannndddd..... yeah... that's all I'm looking forward to. Thats 2 sure buys, 1 maybe, and 1 unlikely but who knows.... sad sad sad

Was contemplating on selling one of my Vitas a few weeks back and getting a 3Ds... but then again, that thing has even less games that I want to play (and no, I do not like pokemon or any mario themed game nor do i like that rehashed gorilla).

I dunno... I feel like I'm starting to outgrow Video games... or could be that back in the day of the PSOne and PS2, I can expect multiple game releases in a week. But with this new HD generation crap, development time has shot up through the roof and less and less games are being released..

Anyways, that is all. I'll probably get a PS3 sometime soon and hopefully Sony drops the price to $150-$170 so I can get one new coz if not, I'll probably settle for a used "slightly slim" PS3 for cheaps. Not that it'll reinvigorate my enthusiasm for gaming since there isn't anything i really want to try out or play, but my son has started to enjoy gaming and I figured that a cheap PS3 is the way to go.

Again. That is all. Its been a great 3 decades of gaming, but its time to move on... See you guys on the other side as its time for me to drop the controller for good and walk away...

Congratulations on your 2nd child, not long to go now! Sorry to hear you hanging up the control pad, but C'est la vie! Maybe we'll see you again should the Vita get these games we're constantly teased but never get announced!

How in the world does the one on the right look better than the one on the left.

Technically speaking the ones on the left looks better, of course. Primarly as a consequence of the Vita's higher resolution. Then, we also have real-time shadows reflected on the character models, the water's transparency, etc. which are absent in the PSP version. That isn't really shocking, afterall, the Vita is a much more powerful hardware!

That said, I prefer the ones on the right as I'm sure that the game was meant to look like those. Looking at the first comparison, the colors are more pleasant on PSP, and the overpopulation of herbs totally ruin the landscape on Vita (but "hey! we have enough power to put more plants, let's do it!").

In the second picture, I also prefer the simpler; opaque look of the water on PSP. The precarious shadow effect under the character's feet serves as a guide too! Honestly, on the Vita equivalent, I can't tell if those guys are standing over or underwater...

Probably something wrong with me, but I have the same feelings toward several "enhanced ports". The new Wind Waker for Wii U, for example... I prefer how the GC original looks!

I see where your getting at here.. Sometimes higher quality games doesnt mean "Looks better"... The herbs looks way too messy and covers all of the ground.... Sometimes the more simpler approach looks better

Outgrowing video games? Is that a thing?

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(
