I don't think the problem is that the Vita has those games, but that it has no other games (slight exaggeration, maybe!).

I guess. Those games get on there because they're inexpensive to develop and already have a pretty reliable fanbase to sell to.

And actually is a good thing for the Vita to have it's own audience until it can compete with 3DS on the more broad and general audience... NINTENDO is until now unbeatable on the Family-casual-child-oriented market, specially on the Portables... And these little and small games can make a difference.. like the hunting games thing.. SONY is trying to get back a part of the market with a overwhelming quantity of good hunting games (PSO2, ROAce, Freedom wars, Soul Sacrifice, God Eater2, Toukiden, etc...).
With time the user base will grow andhave more different games... and based on the good sells of little developers I think Vita is doing good bit at bit on japanese market...
