Ubisoft? Indie titles? Uh..

Err... you do know they release them yeah? Highlander for example was from Ubi soft. They actually release a reatail box with some of their games.

Highlander? What's that? (I know the films..)

No I didn't Know Ubisoft released Indie games..I thought indie games were games released without publisher support (publishers like Ubisoft)

edit: I see your edit, but: I Am Alive is a survival horror[5][4][6] video game developed by Ubisoft Shanghai and published by Ubisoft. Doesn't sound indie to me.

I see the confusion. I classify all small "xbox live arcade/PSN" downloadable games as indie games. not saying Ubi soft itself is a developer of indie size. But, as you can see they make smaller downloadable titles aswell.

Ok I see. It'd be out of character of them to develop a small downloadable title (I took a gander at the List of Ubisoft Games wikipedia page and indeed I Am Alive and a game called Outland which I think is the one you were reffering to were their only PSN/XBL titles) but if you want to be really pessimistic about it sure. I mean as a Vita owner, you might as well get the practice in

On a slightly off topic note, the term indie is similarly misused and abused in the music industry and it really irritates me.

Outland! Thats it, well spotted. It was puzzling me to no end. lol

Yeah, its a pessimistic view. But that way i can be pleasantly surprised if im not right. I liked Liberation more than the main entries so i hope another AC is indeed incoming. Its one of the best selling Vita games aswell so it can only help drive more sales.

I Am Alive actually started as a full blown retail "Next generation" title. It encountered some massive development hurdles I understand, and went very quiet for a couple of years before eventually coming out as an XBLA/PSN release.

Cloudberry Kingdom could well be one of the games, but from the tone of the interview, they were referring to full blown physical releases not just PSN titles. But looking at how many places don't seem to be stocking physical Vita games now, if Sony doesn't pull a rabbit out of the hat at E3, Vita may well end up being digital only.

NA May PS+ content:

BlazBlue
Knytt Underground
Pinball Arcade

For Vita? O.O?

Yupp.

This is the best Plus+ update, without considering the launch.

I really enjoy Pinball Arcade so that's definitely a good title to have.

Is there anyone who played Knytt Underground and liked it (I'm sure there are)? I found myself downloading, playing it for a while, getting bored to death, deleting it, and then downloading it again and so forth. I don't see its appeal. Does it get better after a while?

I'm up to chapter 8 in Uncharted: Golden Abyss.

Omg, I love it. It's a lot slower than the home console versions, but I actually quite enjoy that. It feels more like an adventure game, rather than an action game like the main series felt like (especially 2 & 3).

I'm loving having to explore everywhere to find photographs to take and all the hidden treasures and charcoal rubbings and what not. It feels like a much more interactive experience than the other games ever were.

I understand the complaints about the forced controls, but honestly none of them really bother me. I could do without swiping during combat, but since it slows down anyway it's not really too much of a hassle. Honestly, my only complaint with the game so far is that the fire effects are absolutely hideous. So many developers seem to find it really hard to make pretty fire =/

Well, that and Chase & Dante aren't great. She's like a lesser version of Elena, who in turn wasn't a patch on Chloe. Next Uncharted Vita needs more Chloe.

edit: And the opening few chapters exploring through the jungle while the sun is setting are absolutely GORGEOUS.  I can see why they opened with those to show what the Vita is capable of.

I recently finished this game and the only real disappointment I had was the major boss fights. They are just super extended screen swipe quicktime events. Too long and no challenge at all. I know they're supposed to be "cinematic" fight sequences like the Snake vs Liquid fight at the end of MGS4, but I was seriously bored because all you do is swipe the screen over and over and over. After all that buildup I was just totally underwhelmed. Other than that though the game was fantastic...

I didn't rate it at all. For me it seemed quite obvious why they gave it away free on EU PSN.

When you reach the 3rd chapter it gets better. 1st two are more like an introduction to the game's mechanics.
