Thank you :) And I agree with you, I like to unlock characters on fighting games and I kinda miss it. It used to work as a motivation to come back to the game.

Yeah. Same here. :)

By the way... everywhere I go... with my computer or with my feet... I hear people just saying Vita's sales are abysmal, especially in Japan.

I don't hear a lot of people talking about the lack of games or about the price. Also because, I'll tell it for the 3525332523th time, it's not 250 anymore.

They are just worried about the sales. Rightfully so, unfortunately. And so am I. And... about the choice of games. Because, let's never forget, a handheld console always needs some games suited for a handheld console. Unfortunately, again, I see a lot of games that scream "little ps3 here". That's not good. :(

Sorry if someone gets mad because of my post. I probably love my Vita more than anyone else in this topic. Last thing I see every night before falling asleep is my Vita. A game, a video... anything. I don't sleep if I don't have my Vita on my hands. Once or twice it even fell right on my face. lol. So... I want nothing but the best for this console.

That's why I'm worried.

whoa, what?  when did you get t hat quote from?  I don't recall ahving EVER said that becuase I HATE unlocking characters....you sure it was me? No, it can't have been becuase there is a smileyface, and I don't do emoticons.  the only emoticon I have ever done is the tongueyface :P, and even then I only do it with certain people.

What happened here?

Hey! I edited it in like 12 seconds!!! You're too fast! lol :D

Yeah. I quoted the wrong message and then all became a mess. But now I sorted it out.

Btw... what's with the unlocking hate? :o Unlocking is good. A game is boring without it. :(

I'm rather torn about unlocking.  on one hand, I do agree it gives you somethign solid to work towards and really helps make a game last longer...but on the flipside there's nothing worse than playing the game on a new console or something only to have to repeat your actions ad nauseum.  it's not so bad when unlocking is a series of simple, easy to accomplish tasks, but when you gotta play through and do dozens of stupid things every time just to get stuff, it's annoying and repetitive.

It's like taking Guitar Hero to a buddy's place, only to realize too late that if you want to get to all the fun songs, you gotta play through the whole friggin setlist which is filled with Beastie Boys nonsense.

I think a good balance would be a game of 24 characters, where the 4 bosses are all unlockable by beating the game under different circumstances.  the main roster is there, but you shouldn't have to unlock 50% of the fighters or more, that's just silly.  I would hate to have to unlock, say, Solid Snake or Nathan Drake or Cole McGrath.

My Console Library:

PS5, Switch, XSX

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

3DS, DS, GBA, Vita, PSP, Android

Well look at that looks like I might buy Need For Speed:MoST Wanted for psvita. All I want now is some gameplay :D:

Oh! Now I see your point! :) Yeah, I agree with you. Unlocking is fun when it happens naturally playing through the game. That's what I meant. And that's the way I like it. :)

Incredibly, the Vita version of Need for Speed: Most Wanted is essentially the same as the PS3 and Xbox 360 games. “Everything from what we the ‘TV game’ is here on the small screen,” he announces. And when he says everything, he means it – every highway, back street, bridge and tunnel. All of the cars, the meet-ups, the challenges and the drive-through garages – they’re all in the game, and importantly they haven’t been cut down or changed to fit the Vita.

“This is pretty much the PS3 version of the game shoehorned onto Vita very tightly,” he continues. “This is a very technically ambitious thing to do - there aren’t any open-world games on Vita so far. To keep the world the same, to not make any compromises – that’s what we’ve done.”

Haha! Same here. I go to bed at 2 and then wake up at 7 and even though I know I should go back to sleep, I can't help but play Dynasty Worries. At least for a level or two.

Anyway. I recently got a 32gb and I feel incredibly relieved (upgraded from an 8gb one).

Downloaded sound shapes today and it's such an awesome game. I hope it takes off like lbp. It's definitely the kind of game that screams handheld. It also reminds me of Mutant Blobs Attack.

@Runa

I disagree. Graphics are important. Mutant blobs and Rayman have perfect graphics for their genre, but the black ops game def doesn't. i hope it sells well, nonetheless. Has anyone tried the call of duty black ops zombie game on xperia play? tempted to buy it, but don't know if it's any good.

Unlocking characters was one of my favourite parts when I used to play Tekken 3. Never managed to unlock Dr. sth, but even had dreams about it. One of the reasons I never played Tekken 6 on psp was the fact that all the characters were unlocked from the beginning.

I think a fighting game like this should have unlockables, but not fighters. At least that's how I prefer it. I could understand why others would feel differently.

I liked that in Tekken 6 I could start playing with my favorite characters against friends as soon as I got the game. The story mode required you to unlock characters and only gave you one of your choice though that you get after the first boss (What sucked was that I picked Bryan...who was the first boss, lol. Completely wasted a choice). Then there was stuff like costumes which had to be bought with money you earned by playing. Tekken 6 wasn't the best execution of this but I like the general idea.

Naruto Ultimate Ninja on the other hand annoyed me. I really didn't like the story mode on that one... it was just annoying to those non-option side missions and having to sit through Naruto's victory jump after ticking off each successfully completed objective. Perhaps I just wasn't patient enough for that game but there were were a lot of little quips like that I had with it. Eventually I just ended up downloading a save from Gamefaqs with all the characters so my bro, cousin and I could start really enjoying the Free Battle mode.

In short, game modes, story characters, costumes, items, etc being unlockable are fine with me but some people wanna just fight with their friends with their favorite characters as soon as they get the game.

Dr. sth was a hidden character I didn't know about, but after seeing some gameplay of him im kind of glad i didn't unlock him.
