Very astute of you.  I do have 0% faith in Nintendo.  Of all the consoles I have bought in my lifetime (dating back to Atari 2600 days) the Wii is the only console that sat there unused and the games were uninspiring. The Wii U just does not appear to be a huge leap ahead of the Wii to change my mind.

I need more info on the console, and on the launch titles.

I'm gonna wait till the first game I want is released, if that happens to be on launch day then yay!!

This is a ridiculous question. It hasn't got any games showing on it yet, except for things like Darksiders and Arkham City - the latter of which I'll already own on 360 anyway (or PS3 depending on bonus material).

The people definitely answering "yes" or "no" are worse by varying degrees - wait until you see the games, people, this is not a hard lesson.

I most likely will be pre-ordering the system first chance I get. Will I go through with it in the end remains to be seen. Especially if the price is to hard to digest. It also depends if Wii Remote support for future games will be included as I really like pointer controls and I like having a controller that allows me to space my hands apart. Mostly though I'm already on board because Nintendo IPs are my favorite.

Nintendo is easily my favorite company and I'll never miss a chance to play their IPs, and I'll always buy at launch as long as they continue to intrigue me, which Wii U already has.

Probably not. I jumped on Wii a year after launch when some games were already released and a lot were announced for the near future. I jumped on the 3ds at launch and now it just sits there most of the time in the charging station. If link's awakening hadn't hit the virtual console it would still be sitting in the charger. I'm going to wait until some real games I want to play get released. If it takes a year and half for any good games to be released them so be it.

No it's not a big step from ps3 and 360. And when i buy a new console i want to see that this is really the new generation but this thing is just competing with ps3 and 360.
