I am still expecting the GTA V announcenment.
Ubisoft have apparently confirmed a new hardcore FPS IP that'll be exclusive to the console, for those of you who like that sort of thing.

There is a console, but they didn't show it (don't ask me why). if you watch the videos of what the controller can do you will see the console on the right next to the TV. It looks bigger than a Wii but not much.
Please excuse my bad English.

you can see the console on Nintendo E3 site. The controller was what the presentation was mostly about anyway (for good reason)

Parity will last for about a year (during which time WiiU looks to be getting a mix of old ports, day-and-date multiplats and some exclusives, which sounds like early years Wii to me), but then what happens when PS4/720 come around? |
There's no reason to believe the PS4/720 will be much more powerful than Wii U, so ports will still be easily done. Look at PC games which can easily run on very weak graphics cards and very strong ones, as long as they have the same programming model...
Unless you believe that MS/Sony will go wild and make another expensive system...

just jumped up to HD visuals.. and added a new controller..
if they're online doesn't improve.. and PS4/720 take a leap as big as PS2-PS3 XB-X360.. they can easily go an entire generation ahead of them in a couple of years....

That is the big question, but depends on too many factors we can't reason out. The guy from THQ is claiming that Wii U is definitely more powerful than PS360, but not documenting by how much (my guess is Wii U is to PS360 as Wii is to PS2), but then there's the claim from Kaz a while back that PS4 won't be as radical an advancement as the PS3, and then the question of whether 3rd party games sell well on Wii U, how competitive Wii U can be with PS4/720
The point is this will at least give them a chance to build something resembling third party momentum, a chance they haven't even had a fair shot at since the early N64 days

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
I still can't believe that Nintendo didn't show any 1st party games for Wiiu. To those people who wanted Nintendo to place a bigger priority on third party games, you got what you wished for.

i can see the release of the Wii U being after next year's E3, and during that conference Nintendo can focus on 1st party titles all they want, this was to get their foot in the 3rd party door
and they probably didn't want to upstage any of the awesome first party 3DS titles

How can they announce games that will be over 1 year old when the Wii U launches?
By the time Wii U is out there will already be an Assassin's Creed 3.
Btw, did Ubisoft specifically announce "Revelations" for Wii U or just "Assassassin's Creed"?
