XD
Somebody needs to get all the Leo J quotes from recently.

I think that it is highly likely that the Wii will still need a hardware mod in order to run Wii Linux (or the enevitable new Wii Channels) so this will probably not cause much damage to the Wii ...
The PS2 and XBox in the previous generation (and the Gamecube to a lesser extent) had similar possibilities and only the minority of users took advantage of them; the PSP is different mainly because the ability to hack the PSP without a mod chip is one of the main reasons people buy a PSP.
can anyone explain me what i just saw in the video, as my english isnt that great.
can downloaded games be played on wii without a mod chip or can gamecube games be played with the wii remote or what iis happening there?

I believe that they demonstrated that they're able to run unsigned code (or homebrew applications) on the Wii while taking full advantage of the Wii hardware; previously they were only able to run unsigned code on the Wii while it thought it was a Gamecube. In order to do this you still need to modify the system which (recently) became far too hard for most people.
