I dunno how Anniversary will do. You'll have to like Reach to really get full value out of it. Because the maps are Reach map extensions, no?

or is full Reach multiplayer on the disc like in ODST?

Plus you have people that already played it.

Halo 4 will do 10 million lifetime, easy, if Reach did (as it looks like it will eventually), as long as 343 doesn't botch it. The MS hype machine will be in full force. You get the return of Master Chief. Another however many million consoles compared to Reach.

i'm buying both, of course, so there's one!

No as far as I know the Halo remake has its own MP (or at least I hope so!)

I don't think so.  MP is definitely the Reach engine, with assassinations and all.  Watch the trailer.  the maps are Reach maps.  The only online for Halo CE itself is online co-op.

No, the MP is either going to be Halo 1 maps remade/reimagined or just seven of the best maps throughout all Halo games, even if it is the 'Reach Engine' that doesn't mean it will be Reach maps.

As far as how excited I am for both, very is the simple answer although I was a little letdown on the Halo 4 reveal... guess when 'The Don' said a new trilogy for X360 I was hoping for a new game series all together I was even thinking "This could be their answer to loosing Mass Effect" but that isn't important, all that is important is that both games will be pre-ordered by me and shall be loved.

I think that Halo: CE Anniversary will sell big especially now that Halo is bigger than ever but a lot of people will just think 'Its just a remake' and not bother but still a lifetime number of about 8-9 million should be easily achieveable with a 2.5+ million opening week and 6+ million first 10 weeks, although it may be a bit soon to gage hype for it.

For Halo 4 I think 10+ million lifetime is pretty much guranteed but being so close to the end of the generation could kill a lot of its steam slowing it down and preventing as much as 1.5-2 million sales in the long run. As an early prediction i would say a 3.5-4+ million week is a safe bet and first 10 weeks to be 6.5-7+ million too is also pretty safe.

Around the Network

Halo 4 will probably have all new multiplayer so it will sell just as well as Halo Reach. Halo ODST and Halo CEA don't have their own multiplayer so there are lots of multiplayer only Halo fans that will skip it becuase they will only upgrade for new multiplayer. Halo 4 will make Halo Reach's multiplayer obsolete just like Halo Reach made Halo 3's multiplayer obsolete. Fans of Halo multiplayer will buy just as fast as fans of Halo's campaigns and the result will be huge numbers as good or better than Halo Reach.

That's my opinion of the matter.
