Forums - Website Topics - don't know if I really like the new format.

You just need to get used to it. Hot topics page is the only one you need. Just turn off the sub-forums that don't interest you and that is the only page you need to keep clicking on.

Indeed.

I sometimes think it's that people have bookmarked the hub page and still use that to get into the site even if they are only intending to go to the forums... for the last few months i've had the hub and my own profile as 2 seperate speed-dial bookmarks, but now I think I don't even need the hub... i'll have hot topics and my dashboard on my speed-dial.

Now i don't think I will ever be able to enjoy this site as much as I did before VGC 2.0, but that's partly because I don't really care about much of the other features that have been added since then (reviews, videos or any of this social networking stuff, hell I barely use Facebook) and partly because back then the sales and statistics stuff interested me more, and the concentration of like-minded amateur statisticians in the forums was a lot higher. But with a few of the bugs squashed I think the forum will be working really well.

Things will be going from strength to strength over the next few months - this is just stage 1. More sales articles, more data, new generation of hardware, more original articles (intelligent and interesting features), great original video series, more reviews and previews - you shouldn't need to visit another site soon...

More sales data?

Give us a weekly top 100 SW chart please!

FANTASTIC news.  VgChartz has already been for like the last 2 years my favorite gameing website followed by Kotaku.  At first I thought 2.0 was WAY too confusing but now that I'm gettina hang of it its the best thing to ever happen to this site!  Great job Brett.

The only thing I don't really like is that because of the new and bigger avatar and profile stuff of a member there is a lot of wasted space below it...  sometimes I can read  only 1 post before i have to scroll down to the next one... option to make that smaller like turn off the badges and currently playing would be nice.

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Sounds really good, and I wish you good luck as this site is pretty awesome. I will probably be back in the forums in more force when there is a more interesting home console battle going on again.

Regarding VGC Pro... is any of that up and running yet? (I know it still says "launching soon" but for example if I could sign up, would I get some graphing/charting tools and full sales data again?)

I think things like recent badges and currently playing would be better suited put into the pop-out when you hover over peoples names, hell even the points and posts could go in there (it is the kind of info you might think "I like/hate the sound of this guys post, I wonder how many points/posts he/she has"... not something you need to see as you scroll down.

We are working on exactly that with the first round of updates...

Ah kewl.

I wish forum index is a bit more noticeable. As it is, it is hidden behind layers of menu and is a pain to get to straight off the bat.
