I think its a really good site, except for the fact that I've been banned 4 times. The only thing they should try to do (if possible) is update some of the software numbers from the last gen, like Killzone (my fav ps2 game), which says it has about 750k, which is actually a greatest hits title (meaning its sold at least a million).

This site is great though.

I like this site. I'd be bummed out if it got shut down or something.

Please just fix the 403 Forbidden thing.

and next to www.vgchartz.com this 403 number came up It felt like an IP ban cause I could not see anything on this site yet when I checked if I was banned in my frieends house I was not.

I only read the first half of the first page so sorry if i repeat others points...but,

My favorite things about this site and why i come back are...

1. All of the charts, as a big math geek i love being able to look up game sales data and make comparison graphs of different consols, ect.

2. The forums, as this site is (or was) smaller it has a less blatant fanboy bias. I mean don't get me wrong, i love nintendo but i hate going to forums on other sites and seeing nothing but flamebait....it's boring.

for improvements...

1. anything to increase the options for accessing and displaying all of the wonderful data would be great. just things like picking the number of consols to display while graphing (sometimes i want more or less) and things of the like.

2. maintain the awesome forum community, no advice on how to do that and the more people come the worse it will be become i'm sure.

3. avoid anything subjective like reviews. the sales are the core of this site so don't discredit those data by making any opinions about any of the systems/games/ect.

all and all i like this site. just keep doing what you do and make sure any expansions are expansions you want to do and true to yourself and the people will follow. xD

Right i got a new idea i just came up with, just a little nice thing that you could add to the site.

On the right, where you have the best ranked game for system X and most popular games, you could also add a thing where it says, most sold games for system X, or a specific category, whatever =)

they should have a board that user can only access once they have been members for a period of time. I don't know how you would make it work, I guess you could call it the veteran board or something.

I think VGchartz should specialize on what they do best, and that is sales. I think the best VGgames site is NWR because I think they have kept focus.

Vgcharts could turn into a Jack of all trades but a master of None...

But going against what I said I think they should have a place where users can write reviews and post them somewhere in the game profiles kinda like gamefaqs or newegg does for products. I think this feature should be exclusive however for veteran user which you would decided the parameter for what makes a veteran user. They should also expand the game profiles.

As far as Editorials it would be cool if yuo guys wrote some about the sales of specific games sales or whatever. Maybe that could be put into the gameprofiles.

If you haven't caught on, besides the charts themselves my favorite feature is the profiles.

oh, thought of another thing-

you could have a place where you map the agregate sales of solfware based on console.

Like I could put dates in and it would give me a graph for software(not just one game vs. another) just like they do for hardware.
