Don't get me wrong, the graphics look stupendous. But from someone who has played RE5 inside and out It's nothing but a port of RE5's mini mercenaries game. The levels are exactly the same. Nothing for me, a huge RE fan, to get excited about.

RE4's Mercs mode was better and this looks about like that. Only bigger, with more characters and enemy variety and goals and whatnot. Thirty missions and eight characters with inevitable (hopefully free) DLC characters? There is nothing not to like here, unless you're, say, KylieDog.

Definitely not worth getting a 3DS for.

All of this, of course, is just my opinion.

Skyrim 100%'d. Dark Souls 100%'d.
Dark Souls > Skyrim.
Halo 4 is the best damn FPS since Halo 3.
Proud pre-orderer of 2 PS4's and an Xbox One.

Currently Playing: Dark Souls II, South Park
Playstation 4: MGS V GZ, Killzone: Shadow Fall, NBA 2k14.

I have it preordered, so it will be interesting edition to my collection, that I will try to make my biggest.

Duh? Was that ever really in doubt? No single game is ever really going to be worth buying an entire system for; a system's worth is determined by its library in aggregate according to one's own tastes.

You want to lay down any more deep truths on us, there?

It's well over 4 times the content of RE5's Mercs game (and RE4's Mercs game, for that matter).

I'm well aware of the extra characters and and missions. Mercenaries is fun, and even if RE5 provided 1/4 of what this offers, the basis of the game and settings are still the same. I'm sure, however,  fans of the mini game will find this title a delight, and it will nicely introduce portable gamers to the RE series.

RE5 Gold had  2 types of mercanries (mercanries and reunion) with well over a dozen (including Barry Excella, Rebecca, etc). I don't know about 30 mission but I'd say Gold's mercanries is pretty damn close to 30 missions.

I have a rule of 5, it is that 5 titles justify the console, but you know a lot of individuals do end up buying an entire system for just one game, and in the end complain that nothing appeals to them.

Interesting. I guess that's what I get for not picking up RE5 Alpha Tournament edition.

(or just not liking the normal game enough to dig that deep into Mercenaries)

Sure, but they wouldn't be related to the topic :D
