This weekend is stacked with events. Strikeforce Challengers airs on Friday, Bellator on Saturday, and UFC on Sunday (preliminary card airs on Facebook).

Will be watching Carwin VS Dos Santos at a local sports bar. Going for Carwin since he fights out of Denver!

Well I'm a massive MMA fan myself and HAVE to post up in this thread.

Anyways who do you see winning UFC on Versus this weekend? Marquardt or Rick Story?

That's a tough one. It will be interesting seeing Marquadt at 170, as he looked pretty big at 185. I feel like Story is going to put him on his back and win by decision. My other predictions for this card:

Kongo (Decision), Howard (tko), Mittrione (KO), Griffin (Decision), Stevenson (tko), J-lau (Sub), Roberts (Decision), Oliveira (Sub).

Who do you have?

I never make my final picks until after weigh ins since I'm part of an MMA fantasy league and a lot of times you can tell how some one is going to perform based off their weight cut, if guys have a bad cut it can certainly affect my pick.

Righ now I'm leaning towards marquardt since Story had a lot of trouble taking down Alvez and even the few times he actually got him down had zero success in holding him there. And Alvez has worse TDD and is much smaller than Nate. I think Nate stuffs Story's takedowns and TKO's him in the 2nd. BUT I'll have to wait to see how Marquardt looks at 170 before I make a final pick.

Nate is overrated. He may be good in standup, but his ground game is just shit. He's tough though and doesn't give up. I got Story via decision.

Junior Dos Santos is the next heavyweight champion of the world.

Story's the one who is overrated.  He beat Alvez who had an awful gameplan for that fight and DID NOT win that fight vs Jonny Hendricks.  Hendricks clearly beat Story.

I honestly don't see a single area where Story is the superior to Nate, not even his wrestling is impressive.  Sure it looked decent vs Alvez but Alves is notoriously weak against ground guys.

I mean Marquardt has had to deal with guys like Anderson Silva, Demian Maia, Chael Sonnen, Yushin Okami, Rousimeir Palharres, and others.  Who has Rick Story ever fought against other than Alvez?  Trust me Story's takedown are going to feal incredibly weak to Marquardt who is used to MUCH larger better wrestlers shooting on him like Sonnen and Okami.
