Even Nintendo expected bigger numbers, but the reality is that price means a lot and that, in this case, the brand worked against sales, people think 3DS is a DS with 3D and Nintendo's marketing doesn't work to show the truth...

this almost covered up the weeks Ps3 was winning, i mean the difference is bigger than 10k : P

3DS is doing awful, because it has awful games for the moment...

I think it was last week, but I'm not totally certain, it would explain the increase in sales a bit
