Forums - General - Land Tortoise, as a mode of transportation?

Is it possible?

If so where may someone purchase a land tortoise?

I want to drive one to work and/or school.

Opinions?

-On a side note are tortoises immortal?

Well I wasn't sure if the tortoise was the best choice, so I googled "best animal to ride on" and clicked on the first hit.

I have to agree with the answer. Have you considered riding a human female?

I guess that's alright, but that's been done before, I want to drive a land tortoise.

It is possible and very economical, so long as you're not in a hurry. In my experience you'll need to leave one day in advance for every two miles you need to travel. And yes, just like parrots, tortoises are immortal unless you cut off their head and gain their power and knowledge.
