That's still technically only 2 generations.  Gameboy Color is still considered part of the Gameboy generation.  Think of it like a DSi.

If Nintendo does include Wii and GC B/C, it will be the fiorst console to ever have such a feature.

The first PS3 model was backwards compatible with PS1 and PS2 games.

You're right.  It was.  Let's see if Nintendo, unlike Sony, can keep the feature through the lifetime of the console.

Still think backwards compatibility is more important for Cafe than it was for the Wii. You'll have under 100 million potential user's who have invested in hardware and software, all depending how relient Cafe is to the remote plus or wii fit. I remember when I was first thinking on buying the Wii, I thought about playing some Gamecube games expecting the classic controller to be sufficient, I was wrong. Now I'm also expecting the new controller is able to emulate the Wavebird, so no GC inputs (Wii dance mats are gone) everything would be done wirelessly.

You should backwards compatibility for the generation before the current console, anything before that generation should be available to download.

I just hope you can actually have access to download older games, no matter where you are on earth. I can't do that with the Wii where I am in the Carribean, it bloody sucks!
