Seriously though, I asked in another thread, but does anyone know how to use the AR view part of the Pokedex? Do I need a new card or something?

You're supposed to print or display it on monitor or the pokemon that you haven't got yet. Once you scan it with your 3DS, you'll "capture" the pokemon.

I think it goes something like that.
