Michael Patcher’s XBL account gets hacked

Looks like some hackers didn’t take too kindly about Industry analyst Michael Patcher’s predictions, most of which turns out to be complete duds.

The infamous Analyst confirmed that his Xbox Live account was hacked into and he’s notified Microsoft about it.

He tweeted the following:

"It appears that I was targeted for account theft on XBL, and my friends at Microsoft are going to hang the perpetrators from their thumbs"

Being the funny man that he is, the event didn’t stop him from wisecracking:

"Let’s hope they add a few zeroes to my pathetic gamerscore while they are in control of my XBL account"

Earlier, he had said that his account was switched to Russia by someone, which later turned out to be the hacker:

"Just got an email-I apparently successfully switched my XBL account to Russia. Either great MW3 advertising, or someone is messing with me"

We hope that he is able to recover his account, although we don’t necessarily agree with his predictions.

Year of the Hackers?

Hackers are getting old now, I'm sick of them, they aren't cool, and no one is impressed.  These people really need to get over themselves.

Pachter is a nice guy, and someone is really that pathetic that they are going to screw with his account just because he gets paid to analyze the industry and make some predictions?  Here's a word of advice to people that take his predicitons and stuff that seriously.
