All hail the Neo-Geo!  Time for the Neo-Geo theme song:

I can't say which is my favorite version or least though.  The more aliens they added did make it not seem as right though.

I know it sounds strange but Metal Slug is my most favourite franchise I've never played. I love the art style and the humour.

its million times better in motion

I know. Watching Metal Slug gameplay videos is more fun than most modern comedy movies. I'm a sucker for good slapstick humour. There's only one reason I never played a Metal Slug game: I suck at 2D games that aren't point&click adventures or RPGs and I heard Metal Slug is not one of the easiest franchises.

The art style in Metal Slug reminds me of something I saw out of Mad Magazine.  I can't seem to recall which comic strip in the magazine it is/was though.

@Pullus

Yeah, been meaning to download it for a while now. I probably will after I'm done with Metal Slug Anthology, Mortal Kombat and Kirby's Epic Yarn. I love 2D run 'n' gun games.

Segio Aragonés' Mad Marginals, probably?

Quick on Google says yes, that is it (maybe it was actually something else).  I thought maybe he actually was the artist on the game.  Very likely the art style for Metal Slug was inspired by it.

Well, as much as I'd love to recommend Metal Slug for everyone, I realize it's not a franchise most people on this forum would enjoy. But if you're into funny, fast-paced, unforgiving, extremely replayable arcade-style action, I wholeheartedly advise you to buy it.

If you're interested, I say start out with Metal Slug Anthology for the Wii, PS2, and PSP.

Well I got through super meat boy without exploding, so I'll give it a go :D.

I've got the whole next month off, so I'll finally have some time to play a few games  . No work also means that I can sleep-in after staying up watching the E3 press conferences ^__^.
