PSM3 Magazine has tweeted some news which is bound to get PS3 fans excited.

They revealed that they have just received the first screenshots for a quasi-sequel to cult classic in development for the PS3, which they found to be oddly exciting. They’ve also informed us that information regarding the game will be made live after 1 pm today, although they fail to mention the timezone.

Here’s the entire tweet:

Mother of Pearl! Just received oddly exciting first screens of quasi-sequel to PS3 cult classic – live on net from 1pm ish today

We wonder what it might? Could it be a new Syphoon Filter or MediEvil game? Only time will tell. What do you think it is? Let us know in the comments.

Trying to find the joke/insult in Badgenome's post..... It's in there somewhere . . . I just know it.

OT: Why does Sony announce games the weeks prior to E3? Why not just wait until E3 to announcement.

I geuss it builds up some pre-E3 hype or something.

They tried to book a 6 hour time slot, but they couldn't get it. They have to spill an hour of content beforehand now to have enough time to say everything! :P

This. After all, they're talking about a PS3 cult classic, not a Playstation cult classic in general. Of course it could be something else but Heavenly Sword 2 seems the most likely one.

I think 5 hours is long enough for an 30 second trailer on an new game or at least an montage (which sony love) of game announcments.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong
