We do if the industry is pushing for advancements... Tablets and ARM have made Microsoft speed up Windows 8 development a bit
Interesting..

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)
TECHNOLOGY alone never helps gaming. You need the games, and MS is not committed to in-house quality titles. Third parties never deliver in terms of holding up a platform.
I though PC gaming didn't need relaunching.

B-17 Ballmer strikes again!
YES, I know the dude spelled Ballmer "Balmer" in that video....
Ugh, so when I buy a new pc next year I'll have to pray again that win7 plays nice with win8. Something that always gave trouble between previous versions. I still rather just copy data to a flash card instead of waiting for win7 to connect with xp today.
I wonder how much ram win8 wil need. I still use xp on my laptop I use for internet since xp only uses 260mb after startup. win7 almost takes 1gb, as much memory as my old laptop has :/

I would have to second this. Also to the people saying it's too soon, one of the biggest gripes against MS these days is they tend to fall behind because they sit on one product for too long. It's not mandatory to switch to Win 8 but it probably will spell the end for XP.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.
