One issue my friend had while playing was *SPOILER ALERT kinda*is, the suspects always run, and they always seem like every person is the killer *END SPOILER kinda*

I liked the game from what iv seen...

they really do always run. you watch the news? :P i'm sure this was even more common in the 40s because there weren't any high tech ways to catch a criminal yet.

and every person always 'seems' like the killer too, because there can be a lot of motives to a case. the truth can only be found if evidence is examined closely. that's also true in real life. if my rich mother died and all her sons hate her, every single one of us is suspect to the crime.

If the person didnt kill her, why the hell would they just take off like they DID kill her...not only one guy runs, but every suspection takes off like they are the killer...

yea you're right, but it's because they have something else to hide aside from being the killer. for example:

*spoiler* in the moller case, the husband and the child molester were not the killers, but they both did something else that could have them locked up different reasons *spoiler*

Games, to me, are a constant search for realism.

This is where we are fundamentally different gamers. Regardless, I'm glad you have found such a perfectly fitting game for your tastes and I hope it continues to be a blast!

OP you are not correct

Definitely a good game, but realism in a game is kind of a contradiction. I'm not saying a game can't be realistic, but think about it, games were never meant to simulate reality. And I myself am not a fan of a game that tries too hard to do so.

I like this game, its fun, and its not too realistic, it still has that GTA vibe to it which I enjoy. I don't understand why you enjoy realism so much. I don't play a game to do something I could get up and go do myself. I play games to do insane things so over the top that they sometimes aren't even possible. Thats fun.

That being said L.A. Noire gets a 9.2/10, great game definitely worth the money, but in my opinion not the best game ever.

Realism? I didn't know phone operators in '47 had access to googlemaps and a vehicle registration database to look up partial license plates cross referenced with car makes in a couple of seconds.

Not very realistic either that you can't repeat questions during an interrogation. Interrogating is about asking the same questions over and over again for hours trying to find cracks in the story. Not ask one question, decide and move on whatever.

Not very realistic that you can open fire on street crime all the time. An achievement for shooting a 1000 criminals? For headshots? Plus I was hit in the chest by a bullet, then still managed to sprint after the crook scaling walls and running up stairs, jumping from roof to roof, then shoot him while he got a hostage as they always seem to do in the end.

But who cares about realism it's a great game, and it's fun to play. The atmosphere is unbelievable, especially when you use the built-in black and white mode. After playing in black and white I don't want to go back to color anymore in this game. It looks exactly like those old movies from the forties.

However I wouldn't mind a realistc big budget crime scene detective game, based on the first 48 for example. As long as it's not like that god awful csi adventure game.

from what i'm reading in your post it seems you haven't played that much games, namely RPGs, its as if you skipped a whole 2 generations and PC gaming just playing World of Warcraft.
