Modern Warfare 3 could release on Wii and DS, as well as PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

That's if cached images on CallofDuty.com's Modern Warfare 3 site (via Kotaku) are anything to go by.

As the site points out, Infinity Ward has a history of not making their games for Wii. The other main CoD developer, Treyarch, was responsible for a Wii port of IW's first Modern Warfare.

It also released CoD: World at War and CoD: Black Ops at the same time as the PC, PS3 and 360 versions.

Is Modern Warfare 3 something you want to play on Wii or DS, Nintendo fans?

what is the suprise here?i mean Black Ops also got a DS/Wii version Activision is milking CoD so fukkin much i wouldnt wonder if we see MW3 on PS2 & Gamecube...

yeah, i'm not a cod fanboy by any means but since there is no big fps in the pipeline for wii right now (and probably there won't be until next generation at this point) i'll probably just buy it to get my fps fix this holyday.

The old Infinity Ward isn't making MW3 so by having it on more consoles to me I believe that Activision doesn't think it is going to do as well. So to utilize more profit they're going to put it on more systems.

Well I would expect a DS/3DS release considering the DS versions of CoD have always sold quite well.  Considering they are pretty cheap to develop, I can't really see why they'd not put it on the system(s).  3DS, although, might take another team to put it on but they could make it a key title for the system this November if they release one of the first FPS for it.  So who knows.

As for Wii, the engines are already there from what Treyarch has done on the past CoD games.  Not to mention, holidays are where Wii is the strongest and that's when this will be releasing.  But right now, I wouldn't expect a Wii release, but definitely at least a DS one.

Well there's no MW2 out for the Wii so I don't expect a MW3 this November for the Wii.  However, I would think there would be a 3DS version but not a definite MW3 per se.

I want the Wii edition to include MW2.

And I suspect that local splitcreen multiplayer is too much to ask so I won't do that.

Edit: by local MP I mean the missions that can be also played in splitscreen cooperatively.

A Wii version should happen. Otherwise i think Activision would be throwing money away: COD titles on Wii sold very well, even above 1M units on some if not all titles, and seeing as next year Cafe probably won`t have enough of a audience to sell 1 million units on the next COD iteration, they would this last opportunity to reach that mark on a Nintendo console for at least 2 years.
