Online passes?

Purchased an online pass 0 0%

Purchased New instead of Used b/c of pass 9 36.00%

Didn't purchase because of pass. 16 64.00%

Total:25

So who here has actually purchased an online pass after buying a game used or bought a game new instead of used because of an online pass?? And who here skipped on buying a game all together because of the restrictions of an online pass(i.e. can't play online at a friends house or has to buy a new pass if console bricks.) If you've done more than one just choose the one that you've done or think you will do most often.

None of the above, I always buy new so it isn't a bother. I'm all for online pass!

If I were to buy a game used, which generally is for older games that are no longer for sale new. Sure I would buy an online pass if I liked the game. However I don't particularly care that much about multiplayer. I have games like Dead Space 2 where I platinumed the offline but haven't touched the online once. I can live without it

same, and also i'm for digital downloads.

I would never waste money buying an online pass.  Price-cuts and game deals should elliminate the need for that if one is patient enough.  There are also certain used game retailers that typically send all the online codes when you buy from them.

Most anticipated games of 2011:

Uncharted 3,Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Rocksmith

Modern Warfare 3, Super Mario 3D

It doesn't bother you that you can't take your game over to your friends house and play online with them?

I think he still can. His freind just can't borrow the game and have his own online account unless he forks up the cash. I could be wrong though

People who buy games used for 5 bucks less are the reason we have these now, people should not be that cheap, gamestop screwed up the balance between used and new games and this is the result personally I usually buy games new for 20 to 30 bucks

They suck arse

Even though PSN is back, the store isn't up, so I can't redeem my "Kombat Pass" to play Mortal Kombat online. It came with a 2 day trial period, but that expired and during that time I kept getting dropped from whatever lobby it was trying to put me in.

So sucks!!!

I don't think I'm ever going to buy a game that uses online pass unless the game's online multiplayer is practically meaningless. Well, some special cases could force me to make an exception but I don't really expect to see any.
