No.  But it will sell a lot outside Japan.

it is really down to the online pricing.  If Capcom can resist the urge to make it subscription based, it could sell more.  But if they can't it won't.

1. You're not certain it will get localized

2. MH is not big on the west

3. You know how much Nintendo put into Tri selling well in the west? Sony normally doesn't do that.

Ot: Maybe it can in Japan? Japan sales are really unpredictable.

Well... Tales of Graces released on the Wii, exclusively. Tales of Graces F released on the PS3 a year later and outsold the Wii version after a single Week. These things happen.

No. No it wont. I don't think it will be a Million seller in Japan, should do 800-900k though lifetime. If it was an exclusive MH game and not just a port of a Portable game, then I would say like 1.4 Million.

why? a port on a console from an 6year old handheld? that's something different than a Wii-PS3 sort of port.

MHG sales on Wii: 230k, on PS2: 250k

If a late port of a Tales game (That sold 220k) can sell over 350k in Japan on the PS3, then I think a port of a Monster Hunter game (That sold 4.4 Million) can sell 800k.
