I just don't understand why it would drop so much in Japan.
As to your third point I don't think thats the reason because there are a ton of Japanese games for the PS3 that appeal to the Japanese.

Did you look at the other numbers?
Wii down 45%
DS down 44%
3DS down 37%
PSP down 37%
PS3 down 34%
PS2 down 22%
360 down 19%
Rounded, but in order (i.e. the 3DS was down more than the PSP). Used Media Create numbers.
As for why they are dropping, golden week ended.

Ahh, I thought it was FROM the 14th of May, my mistake.
Everything else seemed to drop aswell, maybe it's what that other guy said, something about "golden week".
And yes you are right, there are a tonne of Japanese games available for the PS3...In Japan =(
I still think there aren't enough though.

All ok forgot about that.
Very weak sales/ At least PSP up YOY.
Bad Japanese week overall, also due to Golden Week being over. PSP good, but not at its best.
But Wii keeps things funny trying hard to sell as much as XB360, just to amuse us. How altruist!
