gaga's dying down a bit imo. shes a creep. mega mega creep.

You sound like the 12 year old girls freaking out in her youtube video commnets.

i am just a supporter of good music, hater of bad music

I find that hilariously ironic coming from a person with deadmou5 as an avatar. You should be kissing Gaga's feet becasue her producers include DJ whiteshadow and red one - deadmau5 would be.... well dead without them. If your going to be a real deadmau5 fan at least know a little about them.

well. i don't do a lot of research about artists i like, i just know all their songs. so anyway how would mau5 be dead without these guys? i mean as far as i know he's did most himself. started out with steve duda with BSOD, then just unloaded about 200 songs onto beatport in the space of two years. then ghosts n stuff got him a bit of popular support.

and deadmau5 are gaga are nothing a like. i don't really like much of deadmau5's 'boom boom boom' shit. i like his older, more melody-like stuff, such as strobe and aural psynapse.

so your point....well....you don't have a point. deadmau5 fans don't generally like gaga...

Redone and Gaga made electric eruo pop mainstream in the span of the last 3 years. Deadmau5 even said it to rollingstone, gaga is a reason his music started getting attention. Gaga's first sucessful launch was in Canada. and Deadmau5 is a huge lady gaga fan.

As for your last statment. If deadmau fans started putting dildos in their asses would you? Sounds like it. You are the one who doesn't have a point, you do not like lady gaga becasue of her music? Its definatley something but that.

How is this going to make history? Her best selling album to date has only sold 5 million  copies. Uhhh, Backstreet Boys sold more than 5 million worldwide in a single WEEK. Nsync had sold over a million in a single day! Eminem and Usher had albums sell over 20 million copies worldwide, eminem having achieved the feat TWICE in the past decade. Michael Jackson has 3 albums with 30 plus million sales.

We're supposed to be excited about 2 million shipments? lol, wake me up when the music industry becomes relevant again. music sales are not exciting aymore and never will be again. The last big superstar was arguably Usher or Eminem. Lady Gaga doesnt hold a candle to them sales wise.

Her best selling album to date has sold 23 MILLION COPIES world wide, and the album is still charting in today's top 40 ww album chart.. and yes you should be suprised an album is shipping 2 million in a week in just one country considering that album belongs to an international act who's as big in the U.S as she is everywhere else in the world..

in fact born this way will probably be one of the biggest week 1 sellers ever in music history world wide.. it'll probably sell well over 2 million copies world wide maybe approaching 3 million it's first week..

as for last big super star.. according to forbes "LADY GAGA" is the most powerful celebrity on this earth..

i would put a dildo up my ass? did you miss the part where i said i didn't even like some of mau5's newer stuff?

and deadmau5 isn't euro pop......and he probably only said that in the magazine because he wants to go mainstream like a douchebag.

deadmau5 would have easily made it without gaga, because deadmau5's primary consumer until recently was the dj market - a completely different market to gaga's. sure his 'ghosts n stuff' track maybe sold a few more copies due to gaga a few years back, but the music of gaga and deadmau5 is very different

deadmau5 is more like daft punk than gaga overall - and daft punk sure as hell didn't get popular because of gaga. electronic dance music/house music/progressive/tech music has been popular way before gaga - its only recently the mainstream has started abusing it with the likes of gaga, black eyed peas, david guetta etc

deadmau5 got famous because:

- he released hundreds of songs in short space of time on beatport, giving himself a name

- he has a unique sound

- he wears a big mouse around his head

the gaga market and the deadmau5 market are quite different. sure you'l get some modern folk who like a few deadmau5 tracks and a few gaga tracks, but real mau5 and real gaga fans are very very different

You obviously do not know what euro music is. Deadmau5 is excatly that, just becasue he started in Canada you are trying to label him under known categories here in the west.

Again, gaga was playing in the clubs and house parties from 2006-2008 with material from her first Album. She was playing for what you call the "deadmau5 fan base," she went mainstream when all the clubs in Canada that she had played at were playing her music over and over due to demand which is why it eventualy moved the the radio (Just Dance). I was there I saw it all unravel with my own eyes.

And please don't try to take any credit away from the Black eyed peas, they have been here for about a decade now combing hip hop, funk, and electic pop.

Lady Gaga's new album has no eruo pop elements and instead has 60s-80s pop rock melodies that remind everyone of David Bowie and Bruce Springsteen so not sure where the abuse you are trying to state here is coming from when she only made 2 albums in this mixed genre.

i liked the black eyed peas when they did hip hop, i just don't think they have much skill. i mean for 'dirty bit' they stole the bassline from the deadmau5 track 'you and i' and the syth bit was very very basic. sure, it got me up dancing when i was blocked one night, but i like an artist to have real skill. anyway to each his own.

gaga was played back then in the clubs, but not much, at least not when proper dj's were doing sets. remixes were common, but when gaga set out at first, she certainly wasn't aiming for the dj market or the serious electronic fans. she realised how popular electronic music had the potential to be (Daft Punk etc), put some vocals in it and made it mainstream. she was smart, and now she's worth a fortune.

anyway, i don't like lady gaga much because i think her music is cheesy, just like a lot of dance music today (like David Guetta). I have a more specific taste of progressive house and clever trance.

Deadmau5 sure got a boost for 4x4=12 from this new level of popularity for dance music, but he would have 100% 'made it' without Gaga. Not many Gaga fans would like deadmau5's stuff a few years back. The dj's and hardcore fans that did made deadmau5.

Anyway, i've almost forgot what this whole debate was about. Basically, you like Gaga, I don't. And deadmau5 would have made it without Gaga, easily.

so is this gaga love because we finally have a famous girl with some meat on her?

I like deadmau5 and I like gaga, I have met Deadmau5 several times in Toronto and I have heard it from his own mouth. He knows very well he would have stayed very underground without Daft Punk, DJ whiteshadow, and red One among others. These are Gaga producers.

As for gaga being cheezy? Really get over yourself. Her lyrics and beats are cruel and raw and hard pounding. No mainstream pop artsist has ever sang about hookers, plainout dirty sex, or even use clever metaphors to hide it.

You are really delisional if you think her core base fans are not "serious electronic fans," her appeal and talent has given her more "fans" that can be multiplied 10 times over her core base, but at the end of the day her core base is the only one that will buy anything she puts out when she is not mainstream any more. Every DJ I have worked with knows what I am telling you. I have 10 years of promoting underground artist under my belt, so please don't try to lecture me on who is who or who buys what becasue I actually know these people, I don't  just read about it over the internet.
