Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Cafe - Leaked game list

I'm taking this with a grain of salt.

When I say a grain of salt, I mean a grain which is some big it is at least 5x one's recommended daily allowance of sodium

Around the Network

could be, but lol at the timed exclusives

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

LOL Bioshock, GTA and Gears exclusive to nintendo?? uh huh.

At the end of the day Nintendo fans and Nintendo themselves have to face facts, 3rd parties arnt going to be putting in great effort when it comes to core titles on cafe. Core 3rd party games like this just don't sell to people who buy Nintendo consoles.

and just to lol at GTA exclusive to Wii 2 even more, Nintendo home consoles have NEVER seen a GTA game, despite having HW power on par with PS2, despite being market leader, and despite having same userbase as Xbox last gen (which got SA, VC and GTA3.)

The bolded statement is wrong and insulting. Good third party core games have sold well on every Nintnedo console that they have appeared on. Soul Calibur II on GC outsold the PS2 version, etc.

As for the list. Highly unrealistic. Although Mii Explore might have been awesome.

I LOVE ICELAND!

Obviously, we've had a few lists of leaked games already, but there's nothing wrong with getting excited about rumors :P

This one originated very recently at NeoGaf, and has been spreading throughout the internet. Although it appears to be more of a fanboy dream-list (Legend of Paper Zelda? o.o), there might be some truth in the list.

  • First Party
    • Launch Games
      • Extreme Sports Cafe (New IP, Combines 1080 and Wave Race Other Sports) (Wii Sports 3?)
      • Pikmin Cafe (Interfaces with Pikmin 3DS) (Pikmin 3DS  hasn't been confirmed yet)
      • Endless Ocean Cafe
      •  Nintendogs Cafe Kennel (Interfaces with Nintendogs Cats) (???)
      • Mii Explore (New IP, Multiplayer Adventure Game) (Made by who?)
    • Launch Window
      • Kirby's Epic Yarn 2 (Launch Window, Multiplayer)
      • Wario Ware Cafe (Launch - Launch Window?)
    • Future Games
      • Super Mario Cafe (Late 2012/Early 2013, Paradigm Shift a la SM64)
      • Legend of Paper Zelda (Mid 2012, Paper Mario version of SNES Zelda) (WHAT IN THE HELL!!???)
      • Fire Emblem Cafe (Late 2012)
      • Retro Studios IP (Late 2012, New IP) (What type of game?)
      • Project Sora IP (New IP)
      • Monolith Soft RPG (New IP)(Chances are it will stay in JP)
      • Miyamoto Game (New IP) (The same one that was supposed to be on Wii?)
  • Third Party
    • Launch Games
      • Battlefield 3 (Extra Content)
      • Street Fighter X Tekken (Timed Exclusive) (No)
      • SSX
      • Super Monkey Ball Cafe
      • Tony Hawk Cafe (I hope not)
      • Ridge Racer Cafe
      • Mass Effect 3 (Possibly with ME 1 2) (Unlikely)
      • InVersion (What's this?)
      • Dragons Dogma (And this)
      • Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
      • Metal Gear Solid: Rising (Extra Content)
      • Silent Hill: Downpour (Extra Content)
      • PES 2013 Cafe (Timed Exclusive)
      • Trauma Center Cafe
    • Launch Window
      • Modern Warfare 3
      • Grand Theft Auto V (Launch, Timed Exclusive) (Not beliving it)
      • Dead Space Spin Off (DSE was on Wii, so I'll believe this one)
      • Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Cafe
      • Soul Caliber V (Extra Content)
    • Future Games
      • Sonic Cafe (Sonic Generations)
      • Platinum Games IP (Bayonetta 2)
      • Phantasty Star Online 2 (Late 2012?)
      • SEGA Game (???)
      • The Amazing Spider-Man: The Game
      • Rockstar Game (New IP?)
      • BioShock Infinite (Timed Exclusive) (Probably not)
      • Red Steel III
      • Beyond Good & Evil 2
      • Doom 4
      • Madden 2013 (Timed Exclusive)(I doubt it)
      • Tiger Woods 13
      • Fight Night Cafe
      • Need for Speed Cafe
      • Level-5 Game (New IP)
      • Kingdom Hearts Cafe (Possibly KH3)
      • Square Enix Game (New IP)
      • Square Enix Game (???)
      • Grasshopper Game (New IP or No More Heroes 3)
      • Valve Game (Possibly a collection set new game?)
      • Epic Games (New IP, Bulletstorm 2 or New Gears of War Trilogy exclusive to Cafe) (Have they ever made games for a Nintendo system?)
Obviously, take it with a barrel of salt. (You mean a truckload) Could this be true?

My reaactions are bolded.

Also, I didn't think that Nintendo would have that many of their studios working on new IPs. What really baffles me is what Project Sora, and Retro could be working on.

Also, (not that we need anymore proof this list is  fanboys wet dream) Madden can't be exclusive ever, EA don't have the rights for that.

Exactly. It's unclear what the exact contract terms are but I think the NFL requires EA to release Madden on any platform that is at least semi-relevant (they still make a PS2 version to this very day since PS2 games can still be found at Gamestop brand new and other places and they have the watered down handheld and iOS versions too). To be fair, Madden 11 on PS2 still sold like a few hundred thousand copies in North America. Times are rough economically.

Around the Network

there is no way this is real....

Systems I Own: PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, 3DS, NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, PS1, PS2, Dreamcast, Genesis/Sega CD, Atari 2600, Atari Jaguar, Game Boy, GB Advance, Game Gear, Intellivision, PC, Xbox, Sega Saturn, Virtual Boy

The combination of likely and unlikely games on the list make it an interesting but (most likely) fake rumour.

With that said, some things like Madded 2013 being a "timed exclusive" could be true depending on when the system launches. EA typically launches a Madden game with every console, and also launches a Madden game late in the summer, so if a system was launching in the spring or early summer it is possible that EA would Release a version of Madden 2013 early; and it would (by default) be a timed exclusive.

I agree that the list is fake.

But please do not continue propagating the bullshit fallacy that those games would not sell on the console if they were made available.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

It's NeoGaf at it again *Shakes fist*! If this were true then I would look forward to it, the line-up seems intriguing.

Personally, I think this is total trash, the first party titles could possibly be real, but the third party software, no chance in hell, Epic would never develop an exclusive franchise on the Cafe, especially Gears, Mass Effect 3 on Cafe, no way, they didn't make ME 1 for PS3, so they'd never make it for Cafe, PES timed exclusive? they'd lose loads of sales in latin american contries who prefer PES oveer FIFA, AND they're mostly Playstation biased

and Madden timed exclusive? :/

You aren't implying that Epic made Mass Effect, are you?

Nah, he just used a comma instead of a full stop.

yeah sorry about that, I didn't proof read my post well enough, but I think we can all agree that this list is some Nintendo fans fantasy and nothing more
