With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

I really enjoyed Prey.  It isn't a new title, but in case you haven't played it, yet.

Halo on Heroic is the way to go, if you are playing alone. They toned down the difficulty level on Normal to appeal to the masses.

BTW if you think Halo is short you are in for a surprise when you play COD4.

Yeah, don't blink, you might miss a level. And it would be a shame if it was the AC-130 level. Great game but far too short.

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/

Off topic, but could this muffdiver11 fellow be the same abusive jerk in this clip?

It's nice to see the community take a firm stance against abusive language. As for Halo 1 and 2... you're not likely to find those in stores anymore. If you liked Halo 3, definitely get them. They're not only fun, but they'll give you a nice perspective of how the game has changed over time. It's kind of like how playing Mario64 then Galaxy makes it easier to appreciate both.

Seriously it only took me 30 minutes longer than Portal... the difference is I paid $50 for CoD4. I paid $50 for The Orange Box which gave me Portal, HL2, HL2 Ep1, HL2 Ep2, and TF2.  Even taking out TF2, who's multiplayer I enjoyed much more, I got more than 31 hours of Single Player out of Orange Box but only 5 out of CoD4.  Honestly I have rarely felt more ripped off in my life, but you can't rent PC games and the reviews were so glowing...  don't get me wrong, it was a fun game, but nowhere near the kind of value I want from my games.

I plan to buy Gears of War, Mass Efect and CoD4 sometime in the near future, does anyone else have any other game that you would recommend

.....One last thing, where the hell can i buy halo 1 and 2 for the xbox in Europe?? I can't find a single store with these games...

Those are three good choices.  Also look into Orange Box, Crackdown, BioShock, and Oblivion. BioShock is only like ~7 hours long (although you may want to play through it twice), but you can spend quite a lot of time playing the other three.  Also, although the single player is relatively short (it took me as long as Halo 3), you can put countless days into the CoD4 multiplayer if you have Xbox Live Gold.

Also, there are 20-30 excellent Arcade games, check out all the free trials.

And if you want some less expensive games and never had an Xbox, check out the top Xbox games that may appeal to you (but also check out the 360 BC list). There are plenty of "top Xbox games" lists out there:

Halo 1 and 2: Does Europe have Xbox Originals yet? If so, you can get Halo 1 on there. Otherwise maybe try online, like Amazon or ebay.

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai

It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps

We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games. - Activision CEO Bobby Kotick

Dead Rising. Buy Dead Rising. Should be around $30 USD or comparible where you live, as it's a Platinum title.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
