Topic is self-explanatory. New policy, or just some house-cleaning?

little bit of column A and a little bit of column B.  Stuff gets way too crowded since we didn't have any set procedure for when to take them down or set them up.  Going to have a new system for 2.0

Probably the latter. Maybe the new VGC is iminent?

I imagine they unstickied many of the threads because it was getting overcroweded.

Is 2.0 getting close to being done?  I'm not asking for specifics but is it possible that 2.0 will be up and running within a month?

I can't wait to complain about the stuff they broke/didn't fix from the last update where they broke it! 

Stickied threads are kinda annoying anyway.  Very few threads that are sticked deserve to be.

About time.  I'm particularly glad to see official game threads have been de-stickied.

It would also be nice if you guys could institute a limit on when such threads can be created (ie, a week before the game comes out or later), so that we don't end up with any new news about a game being posted in both new threads and the official thread.

Then we would have new threads created as new news appears, and later one megathread in which to talk about the game once it's out, as news has slowed and players are interested in discussing the game itself.

Of course, un-stickied official game threads are somewhat useless without a proper search function, given they're pretty hard to find once they disappear off the first page.

I actually visit some of those stickied threads pretty regularly.  Now that they are gone and there is no search function, I guess I'm left to fend for myself.
