Will you be re-buying a game on another platform because PSN is down?

Yes 7 11.11%

I am considering it 5 7.94%

No and i won't no matter how long it is down 51 80.95%

Total:63

What with the comments today that PSN will be "restarted" on 31st of may http://uk.gamespot.com/news/6312524.html?part=rss&tag=gs_news&subj=6312524

i was wondering if there are people out there who will buy a game they already own on their ps3 for another platform they own?

A friend of mine bought Fifa 11 at the weekend for his 360 after already owning it on PS3. Reason was because he only plays games online. I am sure there are loads of people out there who are the same. Once you completed the single player you never play it again.

Now no doubt some people will come in and do the whole "patience" thing which is fair enough, but it could be possible PSN would be down 6 weeks. Personally i am considering getting Black Ops for the 360 as it is in the sale here.

Maybe there will be slight bumps for some games the longer this drags on?

First, the 31st date is about 'all' features, they are planning to keep the store offline for a little while longer. Sounds fair to me, they'll probably relaunch the gaming side of things later this week.

So no, I'll stick to what I've been doing for the last 2 weeks, playing the single player game(s) I was playing anyway.

Gaming didn't used to be all about online, once you actually sat in a room with your mates and played multiplayer.

Hmm, pie.

A lot of "ifs" in there. And they said it would be back up last week, didn't happen did it? Point being nobody knows the order things will be restored. The online aspect could be the last thing to come back up for all we know.

As mentioned a lot of games sell so well because people like the online part and have zero interest in the single player parts. For sports games, gun games and mmo's i can see this being a huge part of it. If your someone who plays a lot then being 3 weeks out of it is a longtime. Can you imagine what people would be like say without world of warcraft for 3 weeks? They would go insane. There will be a lot of people out there who put many hours daily into online games. Games like Black ops i imagine would be high up on that list.

I don't really play that many online multiplats.

thats just retarded....then again i do have oblivion GOTY on PC PS3 and 360...

so I'll weigh my options as:

either buy one console with absolute shit online or buy the other console that makes me pay for it with next to NO equivalent games that I like to play online (MAG, Killzone 2, Warhawk, GT5, etc ).......

naaaaa I'll stick with my offline PS3, grinding in GT5 has never been so easy :)

Thats great

But the question was clearly aimed at people who have more consoles then just the PS3...

But it's nice to know which console you prefer :)

I planned to, I went out just the other day to buy GT5 for me xbox360...no wait..

I was thinking about buying Transformers War for Cybertron for the PC, since I can't play my PS3 version online. But it's still up in the air.

Playstation All-Stars is one of the best games I've played this gen, and is the most fun I've had in a game this gen.
