First, the 31st date is about 'all' features, they are planning to keep the store offline for a little while longer. Sounds fair to me, they'll probably relaunch the gaming side of things later this week.

So no, I'll stick to what I've been doing for the last 2 weeks, playing the single player game(s) I was playing anyway.

Gaming didn't used to be all about online, once you actually sat in a room with your mates and played multiplayer.

A lot of "ifs" in there. And they said it would be back up last week, didn't happen did it? Point being nobody knows the order things will be restored. The online aspect could be the last thing to come back up for all we know.

As mentioned a lot of games sell so well because people like the online part and have zero interest in the single player parts. For sports games, gun games and mmo's i can see this being a huge part of it. If your someone who plays a lot then being 3 weeks out of it is a longtime. Can you imagine what people would be like say without world of warcraft for 3 weeks? They would go insane. There will be a lot of people out there who put many hours daily into online games. Games like Black ops i imagine would be high up on that list.
