Yeah, but he never said the PS3 would be first, so that's moot. Reaching 2nd, however, isn't out of the question (even though I think it might not happen).

A $99 360 this holiday is unlikley. $149 4GB Kinect model, $229-$249 Kinect 250GB bundle seem more likley.

Even your prices seem way to low.  A $149 Arcade with Kinect?  That's not going to happen.  If anything it would be a $149 Arcade by itself, with a 4GB Kinect bundle for $249.  And the elite should drop to $249, with a Kinect Bundle for $349.

MS may want to stay in 2nd pretty bad, but not that bad.

I keep forgetting that the current Kinect 250GB bundle retails for $399.99. However, you have one thing wrong, there isn't an Elite bundle anymore. There's the $299.99 250GB system without Kinect, which would probably drop to $229-249.99, $149.99 4GB system (without Kinect), $199.99 4GB system (with Kinect), & maybe $329.99 250GB system with Kinect (keeping all systems below $349.99).

We'll know soon enough anyway.

Well yea, MS stopped calling them Elite and Arcade, but you get what I mean.  And you could be correct, but I suspect MS will probably just do a $50 cut across the board.  Same with Sony and the PS3.

Wow the 360 was barely doing 100k last year!

Looks like psn didn't make a dent in sales

Agreed. PSN is irrelevant saleswise.

No big surprises, things seem relatively stable. Wii should get a boost from the price cut but nothing earth-shattering. How much will the 3DS pull off weekly though? Seems awfully low for a brand new console.

And even lower sales numbers just before that.

PSP is a monster in japan !!!

A very low tie-ratio monster at that, I'm afraid.

Anybody find it odd (and slightly amusing) that Halo Reach outsold GT5 in EMEAA this week?

I do. Very amusing indeed!

I have a better question to vgchartzer's friends.

Should the Return of the PSN increase the PS3's sales?

No. The outage, as long as it isn't extended indefinitely, shouldn't be a powerful incentive enough to justify jumping ship. Just rightly so, the resumption of normal services doesn't automatically render the PS3 more attractive that what it currently is. This state of affairs will continue as it has been all along.

Looks like the PSN hack didn't plummet the sales of the PS3, as some had thought/were hoping.  Sony is going to weather this storm just fine.  And just imagine what will happen after the cut to $249.

The only thing plummeting is the consumer's trust. Ohh... and stocks, but only a little.
