I have actually read on this site that people are upset that Gameloft makes games that clone other games as if it's a bad thing.

I have been playing Gameloft games on my phone for many years.  The latest game I got was Shadow Guardian HD = Uncharted Clone.

I must say KUDOS to Gameloft and making games for people on the go that represent/clone our favorite games.

How can you be mad for a company that makes a game that people want to play on the go?  You think any of these companies will take the time in making a game for smartphones or tablets like Gameloft?   Look at these great games (I own all but two of these) and just think how fun it is to play these games when sitting at the DMV, Court, Doctors Office, Wife Shopping, Toilet, etc....

9mm = GTA or Saints Row

Shadow Guardian = Uncharted

Eternal Legacy = Phantasy Star / Final Fantasy

Gangster Miami = GTA Vice City

Strarfront = Starcraft

Order & Chaos = World of Warcraft

Yes there are more clones, but these are just examples.

I know it's a good thing for us gamer. But for the developer, their idea for one games is what makes that games special, that's what gameloft as developer "steal". They skip the idea process and just using other developer idea to make their own games and I am sure the "real" developer didn't get the credit in any form. That's what bad in what gameloft do. In short, I can say Gameloft pirated other game developer ideas. That's my opinion....

I wish they'd clone deus ex... I'd love to play more deus ex clones.

I don't mind cloning. And a lot people don't either. Because Uncharted is a Tomb Raider Clone... that does some things better that people like (Story, and shooting).

Yes, just like GTA 3 and on is a Driver clone, and UR is a Doom clone.

The point is the 'most' developers are not going to waste time on phones/tablets games like Gameloft.

Gamelofte brings games that people want to play, to you for on the go entertainment.

How can people be upset about that?

I see it almost like downloading a (shaky off screen camera) movie that was just released in theaters.

It's not nearly as good as the original, and after your done, (if it was good) you have to buy a ticket, or DvD to see how it's meant to be seen.

Best thing about these games? You can pick them up for 1 dollar when it's on sale.. and boy do they have many sales... I think I have 10 gameloft games on my iphone..

Buy one game get one free on Android now, last month = buy a game & 50/50 chance it's free on checkout, month before that = $0.99 each.

I'll probably get Eternal Legacy (for Android). Maybe Order & Chaos Online when that gets ported to Android.

I agree 100% with this thread...now start making these games for the W7P Gameloft!!

sweet. Gonna pick up The Settlers and something else. Maybe the Assassin's Creed game.

Half the industry is about coping ideas from others so gameloft isn't doing anything bad.

Besides if someone thinks Gameloft stolen his ip he can go against them to court so far i think noone did.

And let's be serious here - noone will resign from buying Uncharted 3 because he has a copy of it on his phone.
