Hey, maybe I can get paid to do op-eds about video games, too!

Here's a sample of my work entitled, "The Wii Isn't Even Good Enough to Kiss the PS3's Feet With Its Dirty, Ugly Lips, You Unwashed Heathen":

[lol non-gamers]

[Anecdotal evidence]

[lol gimmick, repeated about 50 times]

[lol waggle, also lol gimmick #51]

[lol red rings of death]

So buy a ps3 otherwise you'll shame yourself and dishonor your family by buying a GIMMICK!!!!111111one11111

 

So when do I get paid?

lol. I wish my tv was 1200p. Looks like an article from SDF. The guys who run that site should consider bringing this guy on board...

there's nothing to laugh about because TV tech will soon surpass this, hell there are PC gamers out their already running high resolutions that exceed  1080p/1200p.

On that note, I also wish I had a 1200p TV. Maybe I should consider relocating to this guy's fantasy land.

I never said it can;t happen (it will obsiously >_>) but 1200p TVs aren't available now.

We'll never see 1200p tv's, because that is a 16:10 computer monitor resolution (WUXGA) Well see higher res tv's in the future, but they won't be 16:10 aspect ratio ;)

 the closest is 1080p TVs but TV manufactures are already working on larger resolution TV's as we speak which means that the consoles down the line will eventually support these crazy high resolutions

You mean, they will claim to support them but end up falling short of even 1080p on occasion ;)

It's really an amazing piece of work. It's absolute drivel, yet there's so much conviction to it that i can't help but want to slap him while refuting every single one of his obviously flawed points.

I think the one that got me the most is the "PS3 bowling is just like REAL bowling!!!" cause, y'know, real bowling balls use the joystick to control spin. Unlike the Wiimote, where you have to twist your wrist as you release the ball. Pheh, so unrealistic, it's obviously last gen.

Oh, and the Sixaxis, whose motion sensors apparently became so sensitive that they replace the need for a pointer on the screen.

Games I want: (Wii)Mario Kart, Okami, Bully, Conduit,  No More Heroes 2 (GC) Eternal Darkness, Killer7, (PS2) Ico, God of War1&2, Legacy of Kain: SR2&Defiance


My Prediction: Wii will be achieve 48% market share by the end of 2008, and will achieve 50% by the end of june of 09. Prediction Failed.

Funny read. Though it will actually be interesting to see how much Sony tries to take advantage of its motion sensor technology. They have used it to good effect in R&C however they haven't yet made it the focal point of a game thus far except maybe to an extent in lair.
