If you have a Wii you NEED to get Galaxy, no IFS and no BUTS. :P

woh wooah woah. someone actually said wiiplay is awesome. come on now. i love nintendo too but for a video game thats actually sold in stores wii play is the dumps. this is why it comes as a 10 dollar addition to a controller. i feel like it shouldn't even be counted as an official game cuz really it is just a tech demo to play around with while breakin in your new controller to show some simple different ways to use the motion controls. at least one or two games on it i played once and never want to play again. while a couple are worth maybe a couple hours of playtime all told. and then tanks is actually decent and is the only reason it is even worth thinking about paying an extra 10 bucks for.

Wii Play is only good for multiplayer and only for about a week tops. I have all 242 stars in Super Mario Galaxy and playing for the 3rd time. ESSENTIAL

I liked Wii play when I tried it at my cousin's. I'm not talking abotu paying a full $50 for this, or if I did get the full version, I'd be selling the Wiimote to hopefully make up the difference. I don't want to pay more than about $15 - $20 max. But with all that, I want a game where I've got some nice simple 2 player games, and not always limited to competition, but also coop. With Wiiplay, i've got Tanks(great for coop), Airhockey and Billiards, and the shooting game, fishing, bubblepop, and charge are at least mildly entertaining. i didn't like the find me game, but that may just be because I sucked at it, I actually kinda enjoy the where's waldo type stuff, so I probably just need practice with that.

Actually, thinking about that, i may just grab mario galaxy, since it does have some limited multiplayer support. i had forgotten about that. The demo I played in the store may have just been still at the point where everything was just too simple. But I also found the controls to be a little frustrating as well. it was just similar enough to Mario 64 that I felt like I knew it, but just different enough that it would throw me for a loop when something didn't work that had been in mario 64.

As far as Resident Evil 4, I've never played the series before. Basically, I've always had a hatred for any type of shooters on both Mouse & keyboard, and on controllers. the controllers because of the difficulty aiming, and the mouse & keyboard because I hate hovering my hand over the keys and losing track of where they are.

Same for Metroid Prime, but i do think that now that I have the Wiimote, I may actually be able to enjoy a FPS, so i really do need to at least try it out. FPS always introduced one other problem, and that was lack of peripheral vision. I wish they'd do something where they'd give you the option to have the top.

I think I'll actually buy MP3, just simply since i don't really own any other FPS other than turok for N64. Zack & Wiki, and RE4, I think I'll rent before deciding what I'm going to do. New Blood, I think I'll just rent.

I have to admit, i am glad for one thing that Playstation standardized, which is memory seperate from the game. I can go rent, play it for a bit, and still keep all my saved game info. If I send it back to the store, I can rent again later, or actually buy a brand new copy, and not lose any progress.

okay, for all thosepeople dissing wiiplay, how many levels does Tanks have before you beat it completely? 

If you are shopping on Ebay then i would say sure, buy Wii play, you will easily find it for £5 (=$10) online.... hell try some second hand game shops... here in UK you can go into CEX and find Wii play for £8 without the remote.(CEX is usually expensive)

If you alrady have 4 remotes then find Wii play without one, if you only have three then get it with the remote anyway, it is still worth it.

I have no idea how many levels tanks has, i think i got to 42 on my best attempt, personally i also think billiards is pretty cool... charge is a hell of a laugh at a party (it is a very Warioware-like game, except it is longer than 5 seconds)
Target is damn fun too. (I also like laser hockey but no one else likes it)

My only problem with this game is it is merely 2 player, and 4 player target would have been worth the £5 all on it's own.

I am getting tired of everyone saying "wii play, no don't bother it looks awful, only 9 mini games"...True it is not worth the £35 you pay for it on it's own, but it is more than worth the £5 you pay for it when you consider the £30 remote.
And it is worth it, IMHO if you find it without the remote for say £15 ($30, but it will be cheaper in USA)
I applaud you Grey for dismissing everyone else in the threads comments about it not being worth it.

Wii Play: Tanks: 20 levels. My neighbor got to level 20 once, OMG. Tanks is a great game, and is the gem in Wii Play.

Now, if you're trying to get it for $15-20, then its value vastly increases. It's just, well, if you don't need the Wiimote...

In every mini game collections there's always at least one gem.

Don't most people just buy wii play for the extra wiimote?

It would have been awesome if MP3 came with an additional wii mote, I wonder how much it would have sold then?
The price of the game would have probably been more then and you wouldn't need a second wiimote for MP3, but I still bet it would have sold way more than it has.
