Ports of back catalog games really shouldn't be any sort of priority for Project Cafe.
The main advantage of having a platform on rough parity or better than the PS3 or Xbox 360 would be for the purpose of simultaneous releases for the major game franchises that largely only appeared on the PS3 or 360 previously.
Frankly, only a die-hard Nintendo fan who deliberately skipped both the PS3 and 360 would be terribly interested in playing ports of games that may be years old that they weren't able to play when new because it wasn't on the Wii.

I agree new multiplatform releases are mostly what we're going to see, but there's still an opportunity there for older ports of bigger brands. I mean Activision pushing out say a Modern Warfare Collection (including MW1 & 2 plus various DLC) at launch to lead into MW3 wouldn't exactly be a bad thing for extra sales and userbase building. I don't expect "years old" ports from anything but maybe the absolute biggest franchises, though I think lots of recent 2011/2012 games are probably fair game for launch window.
Also, there are plenty of people out there who never bought a PS3 or 360, it's not exclusively Nintendo die-hards who'd be buying here. Especially in Japan.
