I agree. Wondering if the rumors are true about certain aspects is one thing, but jumping the gun and starting to make claims about their business strategy is just plain DUMB. it's why I had to laugh at that strawman Malstrom's latest tirade despite not knowing jack flipping crap about whether the rumors are true or not.

Nothing new has been announced, all we have are rumours.

"Today in Japan, Nintendo confirmed the upcoming release of the Wii's successor. The still-unnamed console will be revealed at this year's E3 gaming expo in Los Angeles in June."

Which came after all the rumors, so it's perfectly natural to expect that the rumors have some merit I'd say.

As I said nothing new, Nintendo stated last generation with Wii that they usually have a five year life cycle. This is five years from Wii's launch so it was pretty much a given. But also lets not forget Sakamoto, Miyamoto and Iwata's constant confirmation that the next Nintendo system is on the way. Infact that news story didn't confirm anything new, rather it just backed up past statements made by Nintendo long before the rumours started.

I don't think the rumors themselves are what the OP is saying are stupid, but the people who instantly believe they are all 100% accurate and then start to make sales predictions and seconding guess Nintendo's philosophy and buisness model, and especially anyone who is already trying to use tiny rumors to start playing the DOOMZ game.

I agree totally. Rumors and discussion about what it may or may not have is what we do, but when people seriously start to take every tiny missplaced rumor, as 100% fact and go on the attack...that's some fox news shit right there.

Glad to have you back on line BTW Joelcool7!

Yes you understand the OP exactly, I tried to make the poll indicate it wasn't just about talking about rumours either except I ran out of room with the third option . Its just this whole "Nintendo is doomed because they will have a 8-gig hard drive" etc...etc... I saw a video on YouTube posted here while I was at a friends house, it was this guy freaking out that Nintendo was going to use a 2008 graphics card and the controllers with 6-inch screens. He complained about the price and about the fact that PS4 and Nex-Box would be more powerful. Then in the actual thread people agreed with him despite having no actual solid information.

Then I came back online last night and looked at the Nintendo board was very dissapointed at all this premature judgement. People discussing Nintendo's marketing strategies, hardware strategies and console tech with really nothing legit to go on!

Also Tizona, I am glad to be back, I really missed this place!

I have no idea. My programs just started crashing one by one over a few hours. I'd try openning a program and I'd get a message telling me that the folder was not connected to a program and it told me to edit it in the control panel. But after about 2-hours I got the same message trying to access the control panel. Then I couldn't even hit the start button my whole computer was fried. So I got my boot disks and did a fresh install. I lost some of my disks like the one for the wireless adapter so I had to get a friend to download it for me, then he forgot to bring it for like two weeks.

So this is the first time I'm back online since. I really don't know what kind of virus it was.

Okay because I got a nasty one on this very website so I thought perhaps you had the same. It was a while ago though so I don't think it's a threat anymore.

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

The rumors don't bother me, we'll find out soon enough when Nintendo shows their new console next month.

You're missing my point though. All I'm saying is that this confirmation came shortly after all the rumors started to appear, which means it's natural for people to assume they have merit. When you couple that with the fact that many of the rumors seem to agree on the basics of the machine, it only gives the rumors more merit.

You're acting as if the Wii 2 might have been made by aliens for all we know. And yes, for all we know it could be, but the makeup of the Wii 2 rumors combined with Nintendo's reaction to it, means that the rumors look more credible. I'm not saying they are, I'm saying that the whole situation makes it look like they are to some degree.

E3 is going to be a shit storm compared to this. If you think this rumour is bad.

It's official, project cafe is domed.
